    how about installing the Frame TV to a stereo amplifier? I'm considering a 55" Samsung Frame TV but am reluctant now because I've been using my current Sony Bravia with a Peachtree Nova stereo amplifier to produce theater sound and to drive my KEF speakers.

    • @tvgeekmarky
      @tvgeekmarky 8 дней назад

      You can still pump your sound out from the One Connect Box (comes with the Frame TV). The One Connect Box will have 2 Audio Outputs (Digital Optical & HDMI-ARC). More than likely, the Digital Optical is what you’ll use to push sound from the Frame to your Amplifier

    Why does my samsung frame tv have a gap on top, its a lill tilted downward and I cannot get it to become flat and stuck to the wall. Any advise on how to achieve this?

    • @tvgeekmarky
      @tvgeekmarky 11 дней назад

      This is typical. You have to, gently, pull down on the TV so that the bracket snaps into the locking position. You must do this on both sides. The tv will then sit flush to the magnets on the bracket, resulting in it being flat on the wall. Hopefully this works for you

    Rather than wrap two ground wires under the single ground terminal, you can pigtail the ground. Remove the existing ground wire from the old outlet and twist it really well around the ground wire in the new cable. Make these twists a few inches down on the new ground wire, and then use a green wire nut with a hole in the top so it makes a nice pigtail to connect to the old outlet. Also, every electrician I've seen says never backstab into inexpensive residential-grade outlets. Use the side terminals. If it's too hard to push 5 wires back into the box then pigtail the hot and neutral wires as well. I always pigtail my DIY projects using wirenuts or wago connectors.

      You can still install it below the TV. I would’ve created another path for the HDMI and power to sit inside of the in-wall box. Even if the soundbar were to sit on the mantle. That way it’s clean.

    Do you have to run wires to the bottom screws for both outlets to work? The outlet below has 4 wires and a ground, does the new outlet need 4 as well?

    • @tvgeekmarky
      @tvgeekmarky 3 месяца назад

      Great question! So, no.. the bottom has 4 wires because it’s linked to another outlet in the room. I used a new electrical wire to run from the existing outlet - ground, black (hot), white (neutral) - to the new outlet which will have ground/black/white. I hope this makes sense. There won’t be 4 wires around the screws, only the 3 (ground/black/white)

    Hello, Thanks for the video as I am planning to do the same thing. The extension cord won't prevent surges right or are you using an extension cord with surge protection? Also, do most conduits have labeling that let's us know if safe to run electrical wire behind the wall? Thanks in advance for your reply.

    • @tvgeekmarky
      @tvgeekmarky 11 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the question! Alright, so, the ext cord in the video will not prevent surges - however, you can use a surge protector instead. The conduits DO have labeling that meets certain criteria to run power cables, fiber optics, and other lines. Assuming your in the states, check out Hydromaxx (via Home Depot). I believe that’s what I used in this demonstration. They also have one with a “split” in it - known as “split loom” that would allow for adding cables a little easier than a confined 2”-3” opening. That’s another thing to keep in mind when routing cables. I hope this helps!

    • @tvgeekmarky

      @@nunyabizness5660 Great question. Not all extension cables are coated/made equal. This is why, in the video, a NEC Approved Conduit is utilized. It also protects HDMI wires, and other cables that are ran - even though they’re mostly low voltage.
