As an Norwegian this connects the circle of spirtual friendship started 1000 years ago with the true people of the land in the west. The norse kept the land and its people a secret for many years. We understood and connected with the people there on a spirtual level. Thru our connection with the Gods in nature and all the hidden people that lived there. We had our disagreements but we respected each other so much we didnt go on to start a war. Instead we left the land in respect for its highly spiritual people.

la musique de Heilung est merveilleuse mais ses rituels sont ridicules ce n'est pas en deux trois ans que l'on se connecte' comme çà au chamanisme on est dans le spectacle et la parodie et c'est dommage çà fait trop improvistion pour faire un peu le buzz. qu'ils se concentrent sur leur musique infiniment plus raffinée que cette mascarade.

This was the perfect setting for a Heilung show. I feel like seeing them at an indoor venue would just feel wrong.

What so many feel through this ritual, I believe, is a reconnection to our human need to be a part of; to belong. Like the wolves, humans are tribal in nature and require close social bonds. We yearn for a sense of connection to others and to the natural world. Those of us of European origins have forgotten that we, at our essence, are no more different than what we view as aboriginal peoples. In fact, we are aboriginal. We have just become wholly disconnected from our own origin story. I believe we yearn and ache for that reconnection. Heilung gives us that. Heilung's ritual reconnects us with everything our sterile contemporary existence has stolen from our species, mainly a connection to nature and to one another. Just my thoughts as to why their music touches so many so deeply. We need to be connected to nature and to one another in order to be a healthy species.
