Utah Public Lands Alliance
Добавлен 20 ноя 2022
The Utah Public Lands Alliance was formed in Spring of 2014 to represent users of public lands in their efforts to keep public lands open to multipurpose use. Our officers and board of trustees come from varied backgrounds and the common interest of recreation in Utah and the surrounding areas. We believe that working as an alliance between the many different users of public lands cooperatively will help us maintain access and recreational use of these lands for our generations to come. We are an all-volunteer not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.

Understanding NEPA and Participating Effectively In The Process
Просмотров 677 месяцев назад
To win our fight to protect our access to public lands, we must adopt and execute a new strategy, but first we need to be better educated on the NEPA process. UPLA, in partnership with BlueRibbon Coalition, SLOREX, and At Your Leisure brought in renowned BLM expert Tammy Pike to educate us on the NEPA process that BLM and Forest Service are required to follow in their land use actions. The 40 a...

Trail Saver Introduction to Keep Our Trails Open
Просмотров 2298 месяцев назад
Utah Public Lands Alliance introduces Trail Saver, a tool designed to help us keep our trails open by making it easy for you to report the trails you care about, when you want to go, not when BLM opens the comment period. This will be our first step at playing offense in the game of access preservation for our public lands.

I have had it twice, and both times was when I heavily over ate for weeks with sweets.
Great interview. She really fits with matts off road recovery. We see her learn grow as a fabicator and off road recovet and rescue expert.
Be sure to lean on one or two legal firms for help if you need it. The Mountain States Legal Foundation in Colorado should be consulted as well. Litigation proceedings may very well become necessary if all else fails.
❤️ *promo sm*
it's crazy how much this is happening hoping to try to comment on this closure when it opens up
Nice
This video " Might have Been " Worth Watching " IF it Hadn't Been " for " That Sickening Song " !
Can't wait to get home and test this out on my pc.
I am with you guys !!!! TY
Sounds good 👍
I was the Vice Chairman of Western Association of Land Users WALU, and Utah/Colorado Field Coordinator for Western Public Lands Coalition's "People for the West Campaign". Unfortunately, all the major multiple use associations have disbanded leaving all of the smaller organizations without much real power. In the early to mid 1990's I used my two multiple use organization's leadership positions to push the County Land Use Plans and RS2477 to all of Utah and Colorado's Western Slope - County Commissioners, state & federal representatives and the general public. I hope UPLA is doing the same today as that is the only way to make a difference. WE NEED UPLA AND OTHER SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS OF VARIOUS MULTIPLE PUBLIC LAND USE ORGANIZATIONS TO BAND TOGETHER AND BUILD A MODERN MULTIPLE PUBLIC LAND USE ASSOCIATION.
Thank you so much for your vote of confidence and your efforts.
Nice editing! Thanks to everyone who participated!
Thank you!
A very nice production here, adding that Supertramp song made it even better. Good luck with your mission.
Appreciate what you guys are doing. Making public land fun for folks. I know Matt and Rory are totally behind you guys and it’s amazing to see people just having fellowship and fun. And amazing that it’s a cleaner event than anything I’ve witnessed. That’s the one thing I hope is shared thru out the people no matter where we are. Keep it clean. Pick it up and carry it off. And drive the trails that’s marked.
Thank you so much, we’re in this together, and it will take everyone to keep our lands
Keep the trails clean
Thank you
It's like watching a bunch of ants from above, way above.
Glad you like it
Spectacular ❤ not a speck of litter in all those shots. Makes me jealous of where you live. What a public resource and it looks really well organised from the Air. Maybe next year.
We think of it as a treasure and we treat it that way.
Thank you for your work at SM OHV
Thank you too!
A great success! This is how it's done.
Great video all public lands should be open to off road use as long as there not designated wilderness areas.
Absolutely. Our job is to prevent more land being designated wilderness or areas with wilderness character
So envious are the other nations that Utah has this playground for humanity to share joy.
Thank you so much!
Great coverage UPLA! you have quite a mission, bring awareness to respect the land, signage everywhere, and dicks still run them over and chase non approved trails that brings on closures. 👍😎✊
Nice drone stuff. I didn't see any garbage! KOOL
Thanks 👍
You guys show some of the best footage of the event I've seen. I hope you let the event producers use it. Make sure to cover the same ground on Sunday afternoon. It would be useful if you had data on damage to the vegetation, terrain and the amount of litter left behind.
You can be sure that the ground will be left in better condition than it was before they started! The videos from the ground from various people show spectators picking up trash and Matt's and the other organizers scour the place before they leave.
@@TXGunGeek Agreed.. last year was respectful to the land and left spotless
Thank you. I was blown away when our volunteer Michael from TurtleTone showed it to me.
@@TXGunGeek If you're dealing with governmental oversight, it's extremely helpful to have "real data". This group of "off-roaders" and their fans seem far more responsible towards the environment than many people attending other events in natural settings. Many gatherings leave public lands or parks completely trashed. It would be helpful to have video evidence of well planned and managed special events where environmental damage is kept to a verifiable minimum.
Looks like fun.
Super event, super drone footage, super collaboration with MORR, Supertramp. ❤❤
music sucks!
Super Tramp never sucks😊😊😊

@@Thecherokee4x4 Not since she died 50 years ago!
Great video. Great job!!
Glad you liked it!
Good job!
Thanks!
And all those fans there will leave that land just the way they found it ---clean and litter free ,just like last year !!!
A real testament of the off road community.
Right on !!!@@AFloridaSon
That’s our plan, every time
I really hope you have the rights to use the Supertramp song. It would be a terrible look to violate copyright given the nature of your organization.
Some folks just can’t be reached…ffs
I would assume you are a musician??

🇺🇸🖕🏿🖕🏼🖕🏾🖕🇺🇸 LawFare…America is tired of it….
Appears it can't be viewed in Albania, but most other countries it's permitted by Supertramp...Thank you
Good to see public lands are being enjoyed by the public.
Thank you, we do it because we love them
Love it 👊🇺🇸👊
Thank you
Thanks for keeping your public lands public. The trails are such an asset to your beautiful state and the local economy. Please don't ever sell out and put a walmart in the middle of it all.
That's the plan!
I'm not from that state, nor have I been in that area, but I do appreciate nature's beauty. I did fly into the Salt Lake area a few times actually. What I'm trying to say is.... Utah's lands should remain protected for the offroaders. Pismo has been fighting to stay open forever. We all love nature and our toys. We do our best to protect nature while enjoying it. This town would simply not exist if it weren't for the offroading. That has to be considered. We love our coast, we will not trash it. Same with the trails in the Sierras. Same with Utah's public lands. We preserve what we love while enjoying it.
Excellent overhead footage. It's interesting how a local event is being enjoyed worldwide. -- Thanks, UPLA, for supporting the community. ---
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank You for working with Matt's and showing the world how great of roading is. With Love and Respect You are in my prayers Hoka Hey
Thank you! Matt’s is a role model for us in how he supports the community
Go Katelyn!!!!
Who funds these people?
Keep up the good work!
Never allow the Utah State Trust Lands to become private no trespassing land as Communist Arizona did. That violates the Federal Government's intent on giving states Federal Government Lands for the benefit of ALL OF THE STATES CITIZENS USAGE AND BENEFIT THE STATES EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS. Arizona stole state given land for the only benefit of the so-called "elite society" with imprisonment of any citizen trespassing on ARIZONA"S SUPPOSED PUBLIC LANDS. I would love to see the Federal Government repossess all of Arizona's granted Federal Lands that are erroneously misgoverned in accordance with the intent of the Federal Land Grants. The US Congress and Senate have the power to abolish the Federal Land Grants with returning all of Arizona's State Lands back into the inventory of the Federal Public Lands. Just a serious Federal Law Suite could cause Arizona's State Legislators to change the Arizona's State Constitution to become similar to Utah's State Constitution regarding State Land Governance. Arizona's Citizens could collect enough signatures on a petition for having a ballot for all citizens to vote on change or leave as is. Everybody you talk to in Arizona wants public access to all of Arizona's State PUBLIC LANDS. Go figure !
Goodluck. Agenda 2030 in action. Money and votes mean nothing
I'm all against land grabs but kicking motorized vehicles out of natural areas doesn't qualify as one. Get some good boots and enjoy nature as it was intended. I'm shocked every time I see natural terrain torn up and ruined by your toys. Do your red-necking closer to town, on private land.
Thank God, it's about time someone does something to save the very small percentage that you guys haven't destroyed.
People in the east think the western states are just one big park for their occasional vacation.
We need a leader in Washington DC to start handing back federal lands to the public, or at least the states. The federal government has no business owning so much of the country.
They are all following Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030 and Agenda 30 X 30 ok you must learn what they are doing first and look into what really happens to Land Trusts that in many cases get sold to the government.
I was vice chairman of WALU, Utah/Colorado Field Coordinator for Western States Public Lands Coalition's "People for the West" Campaign, Lobbied the US Senate and Congress over the Mining Law of 1872 and RS2477 retention with the Reconciliation Act of 1994. Lobbied the US senate and Congress in 1994 with our membership's children pulling little red wagons for turning in 600,000 signatures in favor of public lands multiple use with consideration of the customs and cultures of the local citizens. 1996 I was forced to stop the political mechanic endeavors with an eight year period of three lower spine and a neck fusion, while retraining in college during this period. I wish I would have been able to fight the dirty deeds of President Clinton designating millions of acres Forest Service land during the very last 30 days of his Presidency. This devalued our Marysville, Utah mining claims to the point of abandonment. Unfortunately, over the last 30 years all of the large media recognized Public Lands Multiple Use National Organizations with substantial membership have been disbanded. We need another national public lands multiple organization for all of the specific fields of public lands multiple use's small organizations to unite under, which would give the needed substantial numbers backing them in time of need. It is a lot easier said than done, but with a handful of dedicated grassroots activists, what was accomplished in the past could be accomplished again today. I know that I would join this organization and help where possible, although I am 67 with some health issues with living on a low set income, I may be of some help somewhere to someone. It is 30 years past the time of needed coordinated public masses to unite as you are asking for in this one situation, with many more closure situations needing addressing. Unfortunately you need massive numbers for winning any public lands issues, just as the American Mining Rights learned the hard way with fighting and losing the right to continue recreational place mining on the West Coast, which shutdown all recreational and the very few commercial placer mining operations. Utah Public Lands Alliance has to coordinate with other multiple use public lands grassroots organization for attention from the media with asking for the general public on this roads/trails closure situation. 317 miles is worth fighting as hard as fighting for 317 feet.
Trump will reverse this nonsense
Please continue to fight. I am tired of the theft of our public lands.
