Mike, that is very nice. Your memory with Kathy there. Wow, Ironically my first date with JoAnn was the same place, probably late April, or May senior year, I was studying wildflowers at Hillard. At least that was my excuse 😍. Deserted Beautiful place, for sure. Glad you both had a nice trip back to LG. In recent years, I only go there, once or (maybe) twice annually. Her mom is still alive and 😊. 😬😬😬. Take care. Best to you both

Irish waterfalls tend to have a bit more color this time of year than Oregon Falls because they tend to run through more organic or "peat" soil. A rule of thumb but not a for sure.

I planted one of these in my backyard for the birds and it's going through its 2nd summer now, finally starting to look shrub like and it's got its peeling bark already. I can't wait until it blooms! This one you got here looks like it's growing towards the sun!

@@RC_Farm I think people hear about their kind of special requirements -- they need to be planted as a baby transplant in the fall, in a spot with good drainage, only water them once per month during the dry season -- and people are just afraid that they're going to kill it so they don't even try. But they're pretty vigorous if you can just give them those conditions and very beautiful imo.

Did you start from the East Foley side or Crystal Creek road side? I live at the bottom of Crystal Creek and hiked up there the other day.

i hate these things with all my heart. Go on the rocks at night they are everywhere. If you leave bait or a fish where they can get to it they eat it in giant swarms. Always tuck my trousers into my socks personally. And carry a flame thrower lol.
