I used a packet of 2 x vanilla slab sponge cakes 450g at Woolworths Supermarket.
Cut your cake into regular squares 5 cm/ 2 inches.
Chocolate mixture:
325 g/ 11.5 oz/ 3 ¼ cup icing sugar
65 g/ 2.3 oz/ 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
75 g/ 2.6 oz/ 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter
250 ml/ 8.4 fl.oz/ 1 cup boiling water
200 g/ 7 oz/ 2 cups desicated coconut, unsweetened
