Amazing!!! Where can I get the DCTL file?
@@woldarrr You can obtain Juan Pablo Zambrano's DCTL's on his Github page for free, all you need to do his send a few cups of coffee.
I think you'll get a better blend using the film look and the skin color in parallel nodes instead serial ones
Hey, I actually skipped using parallel nodes as I was rushing to prepare the tutorial, but you’re absolutely right! Using parallel nodes for the film look and skin tone would give a better blend and more control. Great catch, my friend!

great work brooo i love it
Thank you!
This looks awesome!! What Was your Part in this project?
Thanks! The footage is from Artgrid. I did the editing and color grading.
Great video ... can i make the video looks like yours with out studio version like DCTL blocked
Thanks for the compliment! While it’s definitely tougher without the Studio version since some of the advanced features like DCTLs are locked out, it's not entirely impossible to get close to this look. You might have to get a bit creative with the tools available in the free version, like playing around with color wheels and curves. It's all about experimenting to see how close you can get!
This is a really awesome channel. Really valuable insights, thank you for sharing this.
Thanks so much!
Hi, from a colorist perspective. I have the blackmagic full frame and was looking for another camera. Would you say the Red produces better colors/image, to you? Thanks
Hey! Both cameras have their strengths, but from a colorist’s perspective, the choice really depends on the look you’re going for. The Blackmagic full-frame is fantastic, especially for its dynamic range and color science, which is great for a natural, filmic look. That said, RED cameras, like the DSMC2 Helium, are known for their flexibility in post, offering impressive color depth and detailed RAW files, which allow for more creative freedom in color grading. Also, I think RED also tends to produce a more “cinematic” image, especially with its high resolution and overall sensor performance. If you’re looking for something with more flexibility in the grade and potentially more detail in highlights and shadows, I’d say the RED is a solid choice. But if you love the Blackmagic color science and workflow, it’s hard to beat that for the price. So, long story short, ultimately, it really depends on what you’re trying to achieve!
