Tesla Model Y lightshow Brisbane AU Q4-2022 - Rent from TeslaTaxi.com.au from under $1400 per week
Hi Millin, I noted to day that ASS is I Australia with EAP. As In It’s summoning had stopped working about 3 months ago but it seems to be working now. Is that what you can also confirm for me??
Na your all good on all points
Thanks, I was looking for something that demos auntopilot in aus. Being in brissy was a bonus.
Hi just wondering how reliable are Tesla? Can they do 300k without any major problems? Is there any Ac issues and other issues?
Hi Millin
It’s not really fsd if you have to intervene all the time
Must a single phase supply always have a 3-pin outlet for 32 amps? - or can you chose if you want a 5-pin outlet instead? I'm getting quotes for a 32 amp outlet to charge using the UMC. If I can chose between a 3-pin or 5-pin outlet (and therefore the matching plug) - are most caravan parks/show grounds/etc fitted with 3-pin or 5-pin outlets? I'm unsure which would be most useful.
Ehhh so many of these online don’t have the temperature sensor…. Pulling a 100% duty 32 amps for a long period, from a crusty old outdoor socket disturbs me if there isn’t a temperature sensor. Some are sold with. Many Chinese copy’s are not. I’m sure when there’s a fire people and the media will blame Tesla not the dodgy fittings that bypass safety.
I have met all of them in the past, but this was a quick trip, just picked up one of my cars to get back to qld, but next time I am in town, I hope to meet up with syd ev and smr if I can.
that was 5k its an absolute rip off.
10k
promo sm 🤤
Hi I’m interested to rent for uber in Melbourne thanks
Hi! Is it base auto pilot? Or enhanced one? Thanks
this isnt fsd you have to keep using the steering wheel fsd you do not need to use the steering wheel I have watched other youtubers from the states that havent even touched there steering wheel
imagine if there was public phone chargers like that just leave it on charge for 10 sec and fully charged.
doesn't work exactly like that, Li-ion batteries usually have a charge rate limited proportionally by their capacity. Its called C-rating. Usually peak around 3 C. So an EV with a 80 kWh pack might charge at 3C (80*3= 240kW) and can charge from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes or whatever, and a phone with a 20Wh battery could also charge at 3C (20*3 = 60W) and also charge from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes or whatever. Now if you put 240,000 W into a phone with a 20 Wh battery, that would charge it at 12,000 C rate which i assume would just explode it haha
@@ethanlinderman8833or put more simply: If you arrive at 10% soc, expect max speeds up to 60%, all bets are off for the last 40% (road trips only need the middle 50% of the pack, so you are all good with a 12min stop every 200km)
Did someone have sandpaper on their hands while driving that car??
its a steering wheel cover. You have never seen one?
We got a fleet of cars in 2019, this is a 2019 P3D, you only get about 90,000km from any 3/y unless you put on a $70 cover on like we have on this car. FYI the new wheel is $1400aud so $70 is a much better deal! Fyi2: the cars from 2018 (s/x) had real leather and last well over 250,000km with no issues!!!
What on eart happened to the steering wheel?
Ha! I was thinking the exact same thing and then this was the first comment. Perfect!
its alcantara
Tesla quality
Clearly a steering wheel cover
@@Earth-Appleyep, quality of 3/y steering wheels is sub par at best… (car is awesome, but use a cover or expect to replace the wheel every 90,000km)
And this is why I tell people not to buy FSD in Australia. Its capability is limited by red tape and low priority sales in Australia. The free autopilot is perfect. If I lived in California with access to the real FSD, totally different story.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video - it is much appreciated. Can you install a 5 pin 32A switch socket on my single phase at home - if I used a 5 pin tail with my UMC at home (I know still only capable of 7KW charging). That way I could utilise the 5 pin tail if I was doing a road trip staying at a site with 3 phase 5 pin sockets? Or would it be better to just buy the extra 5 pin tail for road trips and install a 3 pin 32A switch socket at home? My apologies for all the noob questions!
To patrick morley ho yo patrley to day from costa am go to
UMC gen 1 can do 3 phase 16A 11kW
Any chance you could get this garbage off our roads since none of the rest of us volunteered to test this trash?
Agreed, demonstration and commentary was fantastic :)
Hi thanks for sharing the video. My home has a single phase. Should I install the 3 pin or 5 pin 32 amp switch socket?
3 pin 32amp
@@yasir_amin Thanks for your response - but why do you say 3-pin? Must a single phase supply always have a 3-pin outlet? - or can you chose if you want a 5-pin outlet instead? I'm getting quotes for a 32 amp outlet to charge using the UMC. If I can chose between a 3-pin or 5-pin outlet (and therefore also the plug) - are most caravan parks/show grounds/etc fitted with 3-pin or 5-pin outlets? I'm unsure which would be most useful.
Honestly teslas birds eye view is non existent and a piece of shit!
can FSD in Australia do roundabouts?
its not even out in Australia
@@BRYD it is but an older beta
Nope, can't do roundabouts, can't turn left or right, can't really do much at all
That's NOT birds eye view. Even in my 2023 Tesla X Plaid, it doesn't have proper "BIRDS EYE VIEW', that even the new cheap cars from other manufacturers have. That's quite stupid way to do it, period. Have a great day!
Have you noticed any improvements in the last couple of months?
These videos with ‘real world’ local info for Brisbane / Australia are great. One tip for the Indooroopilly supercharger site is that the nearby lifts/elevators (6&7 I think) are a real pain to get back down when the centre is busy. The wait to go back down is can be painful (last week only one lift was working), so buy a coffee, pack a lunch, and leave time to get back to your car. Another quick way back down is the travellator near the Aldi… but you may need to navigate the labyrinthine spilt level to walk back to the chargers. Happy charging. ⚡️
Does this still exist? Its now showing up on the plugshare app
'Promo SM'
You can also roll the volume up or down when it asks you to touch the wheel. A lot easier and it works better.
What is this the newer 2023 model because I don’t have auto park with eh autopilot
Tesla is fire
Is it worth thw 10k aud FSD in Australia? Doesn’t seem as good as the US version
It's absolute garbage here in Australia
definitley a scam
I hope we get fsd beta in Australia sometime soon.
It's coming apparently
Great video! just a quick question, for lane change confirmation, should we just pull up/down the left stick?
Your demonstrations and commentary are great and efficient, keep it up.
I think the Model Y would be ideal for Booked Hire/Limousine/‘Uber’ driving. So much room for luggage in the back, comfortable quiet ride experience. Keeping your driver gear in the frunk is perfect. I’ve driven as an ‘old school’ taxi driver and putting your own stuff (lunch, jacket, etc)in the boot was always a bit dicey.
So natural...
I know right… can’t wait for ASS!
Yep, I found it doesn’t work smoothly also. Not even agoodpartytrick anymore.😂
Is there anything bad about using inverters? Does this come with starlink?
I need that kit bad. Anybody know something similar
This is awesome and taken for granted
What did I just watch… How tall is she? Where is the reference point? Is she 7foot?
she is about 5'8
Definitely worth it 👌🏻
Hey, I have made a charger video of my Tesla M3 at home as well. Please visit 🙂
Cool, presentation! Thanks
Silly question... what would you need this for? Is it for like if you were out in the middle of nowhere?
