Brilliant, great improvisation, congratulations. To the newest generations of 'guitar players' ( almost all of them only play the same estereotyped riffs and scales... ), that's a great example of HOW AN ELECTRIC GUITAR IS TO BE SOUNDED ( and CAN BE SOUNDED... ). What it was DESIGNED FOR... Best regards !
Patrice, I also thank you. Guitarists like you and me - and probably a few others we still don't know - are clearly proving to the guitar circles in the world that the electric guitar can be perfectly and wonderfully played alone, without the need of anything else. This opens a wide range of new possibilities to our instrument. All the best.
Hello, Patrice. I only watched it twice up to now, so several details may have escaped to my first listenings, but... this piece sounded to me as a very, very good and impressive improvised trip through remarkable dissonance and atonality... something I like very much and use on my pieces, though of course differently. Maybe we could say this was close to absolute freedom on the guitar... But I'm going to listen and watch it again. My best regards !
Watching it once again... I think Robert Fripp - one of my all time favourite guitarists - would truly love this piece ! As to myself, congratulations !
Very, very good ! And one more demonstration of the power of an electric guitar being played alone, no need for harmony being played together, as well as backing tracks, overdubs, etc. Just what I have been hardly doing - and not being nicely recognized... - along the last 8 years, including 2 physical CDs released...
And I thank you too, Patrice, for reinforcing my position that the electric guitar can wonderfully be played alone, without the need of anything else. Only the musician and his instrument, like a violinist and his violin - as well as many other instruments. Though not being a professional musician ( I'm fundamentally a medical doctor [ gynecologist ] and writer ), I play just due to my passion for guitars, since I was 15, beginning with The Beatles and other bands from that time, immediately followed by the progressive movement. And, over and above all, I love music ! All the best, my friend, you are doing a great and innovative work.
Very, very good, superb guitar playing with a refined technique and also deeply authoral, congratulations ! Finally I discovered someone else who follows the same approach to guitar playing I have followed for nearly 8 years: only solo electric guitar and nothing else ! No need for harmony being played, acompaniment, overdubs, backing tracks and other instruments. Only the musician and his instrument, giving it the sole voice. Very nice knowing you and best regards from Rio de Janeiro.
