Just random videos for my track day journey
BMW E92 M3 - Road Atlanta PB 1:36.4 11/8/24
Lap started at 0:17. 6th laps of the session.
Forgive my words I'm getting really mad after stuck in traffic for several 1:50 laps.
Call me dramatic or ahole whatsoever. Glad finally made a lap.
First time run with this org, the advance group pace is sadly slow. Usually I'm in the midpack pace in my group but today I'm literally lapping people.
The drivers situation awareness in the group were also not good, I got stuck in a train quite often and people having trouble pointing by in the corners.
3rd day on the new Hoosier TAPro. Still doing great.
New Paragon R7 front brake pad, a bit too much bite which impede my brake modulation a little bit. Don't really like these high bite pads but it is w...

Trying out new Hoosier TaPro. Haven't been to Barber for a while so theres not good baseline for comparison. Will be at Road Atlanta in 2 weeks to see how fast it can go. Overall great tires just wear bit fast. Heavy traffic for the weekend, didn't get many chances to push in the morning. This is the 7th lap in the morning session after the track finally cleared and I missed a downshift at T5. ...

No offense I need a clickbait haha! Nice day, quite heavy traffic. Trying to get some fast laps but nope no chance it didn't happen. 5th day on the V730. Should have Hoosier TTpro put on next time I come back, lets see the times then.

2nd time ride the bike. Follow my buddy for the out lap and did 2 clean laps. Somehow slower than my very first day riding it, guess it was just not my day today.

First time back to AMP after the suspension upgrade.Feels like I was just messing around and making mistakes but somehow I just got faster. First lap was 1:32.8 second lap was 1:31.9. Ohlins DT. V730 275/35/18.

Just a random session footage. Got some race teams testing their cars this weekend, street cars sharing track with race cars is always fun. My 'track build' is like a toddlers toy comparing to theirs.

Put on new Ohlins Dedicated Track coilovers, feels much more planted. Kumho V730 tires still doing great. Not bad for high 80s-degree weather. Should be able to shave another sec or so later this year when the weather cools down.

If I count correctly, I've made 19 passes in a 13 min sessions including pit in and pit out. Feel like this year there are so many riders get bumped to intermediate group that can't carry the int pace across organizations. I'm nowhere near advance. Most people are on liter bikes so power can't be the excuses. I guess inflation is real. Sorry for my dark windshield lol.

4.10 Rear End? I ran there with my Manual E92 and didn't expect THAT big of a difference of gear shifts. End of the back I was trapping 155-160 in 5th and shifting into it about hundred yards before the flagging station towards the braking zone.
3.15 stock DCT final drive😂 that is my next upgrade left on the plate. If you check 1:34, right before I brake, speedometer showing 150, numbers on dash is 148. GPS is 144 lol.
@KevJLee95 very good to know. Great driving and setup. My M was a bit more bouncy in certain spots but I am hunting setup. Currently car is way to low to the ground.
@@rubindastoor5629 yeah my car is kinda high compare to most of the cars I saw. I ran 275/35/18 square tires and have about 1 finger gap between tires and fenders both front and rear. I use Ohlins dedicated track coilovers and I feel pretty good about it. If budget was not concerned I know many people went with MCS 2ways
@@KevJLee95 yep I run the same tire setup/size with re71's and mcs2nr. I need at least and inch and a half of more travel but that's a next year problem. Would love to connect and then possibly do a track weekend together next season!

Are you running the stock contis?
I had the stock contis for like 3 days then I switched to Michelin Cup Evo for quite some time on this bike. Eventually upgraded to Perilli SC3 before I sold it.

What oil do you recommend for track use?
I don't see much difference between 10w60 oil, I tried Liqui Moly, Motul 8100 and Redline. Just whatever is available at FCP euro when I need oil
@@KevJLee95 that's kinda what I have leaned towards. That's usually what I did with my C5s and s2000. Whatever was best any available at the time
@@brockmoorea14 yeah especially when I change oil every 5-6 trackdays, that is like every 2 months, I wouldn't worry about that.

@@vannonveli1279 It was 95F for the weekend. Most of the days the oil temp won't pass 3 quarters on the dash. It has just been so hot recently
