I really like how talk about the Lord That’s really good
@@JamesM-l5g thankyou without Him none of this is possible!
Please don't put music in it's better to hear the hounds and what's going on without it
Great video. Thanks for sharing. That country is beautiful but it would probably kill me lol.
Nice video. Great country.
A very good first day! Thank you for sharing my friends!
I stopped carrying so much stuff and it’s way more enjoyable going to the tree. Side arm, and hook my handheld and radio to a leash so I don’t lose them.
@@Fishhuntliveoutdoors that's what my budy does a lot of times he doesn't even bring a gun. He trees many many bears a year. He truly is a houndsmen. Once I get dogs at some point in my life i will hone my skills the same i believe. For now it's going out with friends.
That looks like fun! Pretty rugged country! Thank you for sharing my friend!
I can't wait to see the hunting videos! Thank you for sharing and Good luck with everything my friends!
We appreciate your time invested in filming also. Thank you
Bate? What's a bate? Lol....
I cant believe you carried that tipi and stove in. Its heavy compared to a solo tent
Ya I have never used a solo tent or even looked into one. I figured if one of my friends ever want to come with me then I have the tipi and bot of us can fit. The stove at night keep it really warm!!
Very cool! Good luck my friend!! Thank you for sharing!
Gonna be awesome! Thank you for sharing my friend!
I have 3 bears hitting my bait, unfortunately the 2 larger bears are being nocturnal.
Still think your crazy Mike! Haha
This is literally within 100 yards of where I brought you to get those trees that morning a few years ago.
@@michaelcafferty1547 I could tell. Brought back some memories lol
Luck af
You’re going to send your Aunt some of those bad boys right? Lol
Nice looking morels! I love eating them! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Yes most of them this year have been really nice. I dry them and put them in jars so we can rehydrate them through the year.
Cow bones
That's what I was thinking. It's just so far from any place that has cows. Mabey they got out and were never found.
Good luck! Love the country you're in!! And God bless! From your neighbor in NE WA. 👍
The best👍
Nice shooting! Cool perspective with the filming.
Thanks man it is very hard self filming. I think I am getting a little better then when I started.
What do they do with those skulls? I also wouldn’t really have it in me to hunt a wolf and sell it at a fur zine. That’s just my only bug. I’m not gatekeeping them, it’s just something that doesn’t set well with me. Unless they’re an accidental catch or the hunters really need money I’m okay as long as it’s limited.
Great job my friend! You did great!! Thank you for sharing and Good luck with everything!
Glad you enjoyed the day. BTW you parked next to my silver pickup. LOL.
You live a good life. Thank you for teaching your kids.i was wondering how much the bobcats were going for on average?
Sorry. I just rewatched and you said 275
Yes that is for the north idaho cats. I'm sure the cats from other areas went for different.
Great job on showing all the fur!
Great video thanks
South Idaho man here, i will say that the transparency you show tells us it is because you enjoy it. keep doing that and it will naturally draw in curious minds to watch! also subbed for support .
Thankyou for the encouragement and support
I'm an old man now but in my hay day best prices I saw was red fox $90 and jumbo coon went for $68 used to hunt coon every night I could,
SHAME. Barbarians wore fur. Were losing wildlife and dont care. Sad. When will we become civilized?
Fur is a renewable resource why wear clothes made from oil which everyone is trying to get away from by going electric how is using a renewable resource sad they are over populated and putting a hurting on prey species causing the other wild life to be affected when there is to many and they can end up starving
allot of trapping now a days keeps predator populations in check. and things like beavers/muskrats cause property damage when they move into rural areas.
@@TheFinalClue It's amazing how nature took care of itself without man. Appears mankind unbalances things.
@@equine2020 creatures went extinct before mans arrival too. very balanced.
@@TheFinalClue That was nature reajusting it self. Not man made, big difference. And mother nature will recreate herself again. Not by mankind.
when i was in high school i trapped to buy clothes and school supplies. Did really good.
Nice who are the main buyers? Is there a main wholesale buyer where most of this stuff goes to
I am not sure it is a auction system. I believe there were 8 to 10 buyers I'm not sure if they then sell to someone els. But there are separate people buying.
I'm sure the same buyers come every year and I will get to know them as years go on.
That's awesome not just one monopoly buyer good
Good for you
Very informative video, thanks!
Trapping is torture for these beautiful creatures . In a world where all these pelts can be made from other sources, why are you still supporting a barbarous act ?
I do this to show my children how things used to be done. I tan some of my own hides to show them you dont have to use the system for anything. We can provide for ourselves if needed. Also I would suggest what is more torture is these predators killing the fawns of this spring with nothing but there teeth. Or getting so over populated that they begin to get Diseases and diy that way. Without going into depth of conservation. All this fur is greatly respected by the people who harvested it, I would suggest the people who are trapping and hunting these animals care more for the animals then 99% of the population!
You're in the wrong place...
@@michaelcafferty1547 Get real. Teach them from books. Not from an animal once alive. And only wanting to live a decent life. Gross. Cavemen wore fur. We now have other sources.
Like the other sources have no impact on the animals and environment around us? Get real and get outside, you don't learn that from a book.
You live in a fairytale, thinking the resources you use have no impact on animals or the environment
Please keep advertising how great the state is, it's already turning to WA or Cali because of social media dipshots like this.... Keep Idaho Idaho, stay home and fix your own state. Enjoy its beauties, stop coming and frickin up mine...
I would suggest that the people that are coming here for hunting purposes are not the problem. Yes it may put more people on the landscape, but they are not the ones trying to push back on the regulations. If you haven't heard of the foundation for wildlife management, those guys are doing the leg work for the sportsmen of Idaho in going to the legislature and making our voices heard. I know this is a long explanation. But mabey have conversation about why hunting, fishing and trapping is necessary for the wildlife of idaho. They may listen and change there mindset. Thanks for the coment.
@@michaelcafferty1547 It just seems since all these hunting youtubers started coming out with "Idaho" this and "Montana" that, all these northwestern states are now being flooded with hunters. Some are considerate and respectful of LOCAL hunters but unfortunately most are disrespectful pricks that just want to kill an "Idaho Elk" to brag to there buddies about. They leave garbage at camp sites and all over the mountains. The point I try to make is you can make the same video, show the same beauty, same adventure. Just don't tag "Idaho" 17 times. Let the deserving do there research and find the adventure themselves.
A good example is an experience I had a few years ago. I was sitting a wallow that my grandpa hunted, my dad actually shot his biggest bull at 15yo in the same meadow. I was doing a very light cow call sequence( it was early season mind you) when 3 guys from Wisconsin came full sprint running, 2 of them screaming bugles almost simultaneously. Needless to say all the actual elk in the area were call shy after just a week of these dingbats being in the area. I later found there camp after they left and it was literally littered with garbage. I filled 3 construction bags just at there camp. Lord only knows how much was left on the mountain.. So many youtubers have the great intention of bringing these great adventures to the world, what they don't realize is when you bring the world to these beautiful places they end up getting destroyed...
@@bearbuster1731 I will say just remember without the out of state hunters we would not have the revenue to support the fish and game. I think all idahoins have had a story like that so I do feel with you. But I do also know we all play a part in making the world go round. Mabey try to point them in the right direction in there calling. They all may not change there ways but they just may. Best of luck to you in the up and comming seasons.
@@michaelcafferty1547 I think less out of state hunters, fish and game wouldn't need such high revenue. Heck they don't as is.. Driving brand new pickups, introducing invasive species like the canadian grey wolf which in turn has decimated Idaho's elk and deer populations. "So fish and game can get more money" is no argument to me. I personally feel they do more harm than good... Happy hunting to you as well, hope your spots don't get blown out by other hunters 🤞
Love the video buddy im going start looking also
