Best listening to Duchamp, discussions/lectures by other people always sound ridiculous.
"When I make my drawings, the path traced on the sheet of paper is to some extent analogous to the gesture of a man groping his way in the darkness." - Giacometti
Awesome video, so much information
Is it true that there is no truth? No.

SHALLOW IS THE NEW DEEP !
Stupid is the new clever!
Marvelous video
I absolutely love Giacometti's paintings, almost more than his sculptures! Esp. Lord James' portrait.
I didn't notice any mistake. But then I am brand new to this, and don't really know what to be looking for. Must trying to learn about printmaking, and appreciate the video - it helps me to get a little better grasp of the process. Thank you!
Postmodernism is characterized by an attitude of skepticism, irony, or rejection toward the meta-narratives and ideologies of modernism, often calling into question various assumptions of Enlightenment rationality. Postmodernism developed in the mid- to late 20th century across philosophy, the arts, architecture, and criticism and represented a departure or rejection of modernism. Postmodernism relies on critical theory, an approach that confronts the ideological, social, and historical structures that shape and constrain cultural production. Common targets of postmodernism and critical theory include universalist notions of objective reality, morality, truth, human nature, reason, language, and social progress. Postmodernist approaches have been adopted in a variety of academic and theoretical disciplines, including political science, cultural studies, philosophy of science, economics, linguistics, architecture, feminist theory, and literary criticism, as well as art movements in fields such as literature and music. Postmodern thinkers frequently call attention to the contingent or socially-conditioned nature of knowledge claims and value systems, situating them as products of particular political, historical, or cultural discourses and hierarchies. Accordingly, postmodern thought is broadly characterized by tendencies to self-referentiality, epistemological and moral relativism, pluralism, and irreverence. Postmodernism is often associated with schools of thought such as deconstruction and post-structuralism, as well as philosophers such as Jean-François Lyotard, Jacques Derrida, and Fredric Jameson. Criticisms of postmodernism are intellectually diverse, and include assertions that postmodernism promotes obscurantism, and is meaningless, adding nothing to analytical or empirical knowledge.
Awesome explanation.
A great resource, thanks.

Really interesting
Thank you! This was very helpful!
Very good. Thank you. Beyonce and her apesh!t video brought me here.
Honestly your videos need more praise. Simple, yet informative. I remembered more from this 5 minute video than from 3 months of art class.
Thank you. Glad it helped :)
In other words breaking down society, and replacing it with nothing, while feeling self righteous.
Mental illness is a social construct. >Would you live with a manic schizophrenic? Cancer is a social construct. >Would you reject chemotherapy? currency is a social construct >Self explanatory "Western ideas" like men are stronger then women? >Same for the Easterners, Africans, Slavs and everyone else who matters
And that is exactly where postmodernism, especially in politics, fails.
I made a similar Tasmania trip video! Check it out if you would like :)) x
