Try eating dates

From one midwife (who is also undergoing IVF) to another ... I would do AFI & dopplers in addition to the CTG monitoring for reassurance. Also you can try sex as semen has been shown to contain prostaglandins which has a similar effect to a membrane sweep. If you are not in labour by K41+5, I would let your midwife to do an ARM and see if that can get you going - at least you can still attempt your home birth - worst case you have to go into hospital for a formal induction, but hopefully you can still avoid the c/s. Alright y'all, I had to reupload this video after making a correction. Nothing is more humbling than calling yourself an expert and then being wrong about something. 🤦‍♀️ I had initially said that the presence of a Y chromosome always made an individual male (excluding mosaicisms because they are rare and complicated). Apparently there is a DSD condition called Swyer Syndrome where a female can have XY chromosomes and a uterus. Instead of ovaries or testicles she would have "gonadal streaks" which would not produce eggs, however she could become pregnant via IVF. The few case studies I found had testosterone levels in the normal female range. This condition is so rare, that I didn't learn about it in grad school! It occurs in 1 in 100,000 births, compared to 1 in 5,500 for 5-ARD. You learn something new every day!
