@@gabrielhalpern6087 you made me chuckle in the beginning, and I liked hearing the song which reminded me of songs you would singat dePaul. Also, the message spoke to me very clearly today with some of my recent experiences. Especially related to the advice you have about going into a deeptrance state. I also appreciate the definitions you gave related to power. thank you again for sharing your wisdom.
@@user-yv9oq9wu1q Thanks for the acknowledgment. Help me...who are you? Don't tease me with the De Paul reference! Which class of mine did you take and what year?
"practice" yes yes, when i think of all the learning and "practice" it took to live a life, have a career, be a dad and a husband it makes only sense that i would need to practice to be aligned with the cosmic source. fortunately i am retired now..... i have the time. thanks man, love your work....peace
I have had my share of abuse, abandonment and neglect in my life and in my mid teens found myself on a spiritual path. on that path i got exposed to all sorts of religion, philosophy and wisdom from many who have born the trials of this life. my Mother taught me that in each and every instance we get to choose how we think, respond , internalize then carry that input. what we do with it is solely up to us. if we think of it as recycling garbage we can take something bad and make something good out of it....peace
so so right about the straight jacket, what a great analogy. i do some yoga but mostly tai-chi and i am so grateful that it found me, i'm 71 now and need these exercises very much..peace
Gabriel, i want to take a moment to tell you how much i love the work you do. if for any reason these sessions were to stop i would be saddened had i not said this. your work is so edifying and i am grateful beyond words....peace
I am touched that you've gotten so much. If life grants me much more time to share what I see as positive content, I'm going to act as if that will happen. I am happy to have a lot of recorded material on my website and on youtube as a free resource to all who find their way there. May it continue to serve you well.
@gabrielhalpern608 thanks for responding 😀 actually i dont practice yoga but i acknowledge its benefit. Any advice would you give to live a peaceful life? I am sure you have rich life to share to us youngster. Tbh, when i saw your video its just like seeing my late grandpa and i would love to hear his wisdom 😇
@@fatihahf.s1238 I am honored to be remembered as you do your grandpa. Thank you for that gift. What wisdom did he impart to you? No need to practice yoga, though I continue to extol its virtues. Your question about a peaceful life is welcome with me. Have you defined for yourself what a good life lived is? That's the essence of philosophy, isn;t it? For me its about finding something I'm passionate about and making my lifestyle support and revolve around that. Wisdom has to be molded to the moment...like asking a chess master what is the best move in chess? The answer is always: it's situational.

If you can find Robert Bly's talk on the Naive Male that would be a great start. Sifting thru your own broken dreams is one way of sorting thru your own ashes. Getting into a group to share your innermost thoughts and feelings and get support for whatever you are struggling with is also invaluable. However, I always say that doing yoga, the path I'm most familiar with and therefore have the most authenticity within that field, is the main practice that leads to self-transformation. If you are a practitioner and would like to continue a dialogue about yoga, I'm ready and willing to share with you. Even if yoga is not you cup of tea, I'm still happy to continue a conversation with you if you so desire. Thanks for reaching out.
i workout, if you can call it that, about 5 days a week, some thi chi, some yoga, some small weights, then i meditate, in all its about 40 minutes. my weakness is meditating for any length of time but i keep working on it. i eat pretty much a keto diet and have eschewed processed foods. this time of year makes it very difficult. when i fall i just get back up again....peace
