I really don’t understand why she doesn’t release more music. She has only 3 Studio Albums all with a 4 year release gap and she doesn’t really have many singles to promote her albums or any non-album singles. Her discography is sort of boring since you have to wait for a long time for only about 16 songs when there are artists like Ava Max who release non-album singles, singles to promote upcoming studio albums and just releasing albums every 2-3 years. Look, I’m sorry if this sounds harsh it’s just that Ava is my second favourite singer and this comparison can hit me hard sometimes. And there are two types of artists, the ones who make money off of singles (eg. Katy Perry) and the ones who make money off of Albums (eg. Ariana Grande). In Melanie’s case, she makes money off of albums meaning no song will ever go unnoticed. Melanie’s whole discography is treasured by her fans. She’s one of those singers who just can’t make a bad song. The reason why she doesn’t release albums more often is because her brain is just engrained into the idea that every song needs a music video. Nah, once you start you can’t stop, it’s stuck in your memory forever. I’ve done this for 13 months now and I’ve always known they were unreleased. I’ve never said a single bad thing about unreleased songs in my entire life, not even mildly.
