We like to take adventures in New Hampshire and beyond. Hiking, canoeing, camping. Anything that lets us get out into the serenity and beauty of nature. We enjoy going up mountains, down rivers, and across a variety of terrain, finding less traveled areas to escape and recharge.
Right now we are working on a teardrop trailer build, of our design, that we're hoping to be able to use to get away this winter more easily and comfortably. We're chronicling the entire build on this channel so be sure to join us for the build series and to see how we end up using it when it's done. We are very curious how well it will do keeping the battery charged and providing heat. This will be our first time using a solar electric system and we are interested to see how well it does and what sort of demand we can place on it. We are going to start with trying to run a small DC heater off it and we will grow from there.

How do you put into high altitude mode?
There's a process where you ground out a wire and twist the reostat knob. I don't remember the details but it's documented online in google/youtube. The downside is, without special equipment to monitor the exhaust, you can't tune it exactly.
This looks awesome!!❤
Hey there. I was wondering, what happens to all the plywood panels after you strip them off? Are they on consignment and you return them? Do you throw them out? I can’t seem to find an answer to that. Thanks!
In my case, I made them out of 4'x8' plywood. So I owned them and I'm not a professional so I have no more use for them and they went to the trash. If I had bought premade ones from Nudura, I would also own them. There isn't a rent/lease option as the process does slowly damage the wood with each strip. If you're a professional that could reuse them, you'd get some number of reuses before you needed to scrap them. Don't know how many.
That fully answers it. Thanks!
Looks great! I'm so extinction for you both 🥹❤️
What psi is the pipe?
I don't remember. It's whatever the well pump specified. Diameter, psi minimum and max lift are all specified in the well pump manual.
Poor workmanship. Those crimps on the seams and the roof edge are unacceptable in my opinion and I would have made them do it over or not paid the full amount they were asking for.
That boot looks horrible.
should have just went with snaplock metal roofing.
Words can describe how excited and happy I am for you that your house is coming along!! ❤
Thank you. It's definitely exciting. Yesterday Val set up a hammock on the porch. It was so nice to hang out in there next to the "windows".
You @@OutdoorTraveler are living my dream!! Can't wait to visit when completed and get the tour!! ❤
Use pwm, man😊
Wow, what progress!
Glad you made it back safely! 🥰
Second time watching your video! I have a Slipper 17 that I sail on Schroon Lake. Planning on a few days on Champlain this Summer of 24', your video has been very eye opening, thank you and great job on the video narration and content.
Than you very much. I hope you enjoy your trip.
It’s also possible he was feeling the elevation and the lower levels of oxygen.
Saw Palmetto berries are very good for treating prostate swelling in older men. They are quite common in North New Zealand bush
So uh, yeah
Very “Trueman show” really enjoyed it.
I thought the whole point of ICF is you didn't have to strip off forms. I am naive to the process.
I wouldn't say that's the whole point but it is one of the advantages. I didn't do a standard install though because I wanted concrete on the outside.
What you are seeing is a Nudura "One-Series installation - not a regular Nudura ICF Series form system (typically insulation panels on both sides). These clients WANTED to have the insulation advantage on the INSIDE of their foundation, but wanted to reveal BARE CONCRETE to the exterior side of the wall. Nudura "One Series" is one of the very few ICF Systems that can provide this option. Usually, it is used within commercial Stairwells and elevator shafts, but some clients like the finished look of the concrete wall with the regular tie pattern being visible. Hard coat pools can ALSO be formed with this system.
To be clear you don’t have to take the blower Motor apart like this guy lightly touched base on.(the T25 bit for the long screws on the front facing with the white ring securing the red and brown wires around 3:15) he didn’t clarify that you don’t need to do that and if you do you might have a really hard time getting the magnet seated properly which will then lead to an H89 blower/fan motor problem.
Im having just that problem. Cant for the life of me figure out how to put the blower fan together once taken apart. If anyone knows the trick to that, please post. Original poster, if you can tell me how you did that once you took the blower motor screws out as you suggested, please let me know.
I would paint #7 weather barrier on the decking and all exposed wood areas or fire & ice wrapping to protect the lumber from weather.
Love your videos!! Only way I keep up with what you've been up too. Very educational for my daughter. We talk about your videos and what you have built and accomplished! I hear you're visiting our town in a few weeks! Can't wait to see you both and for you to finally meet your little cousin! 😊
Awe that's sweet. Thank you. Yeah, looking forward to our visit. See you in a few weeks.
Use a roll of zip tape
Gotta get the edges of the tarps tucked down tight so the wind can't catch them. The eyelets will rip out even on a heavy duty tarp in high winds, but if the wind has nothing to pull on you won't have this type of problem. Consider folding the edge up under and screwing or stapling to your rim joist.
I would put some beach balls or something like exercise balls to put under the tarp so water runs off and air can get at plywood flat tarps never are totally waterproof it needs a watershed.
Where to buy the parts from? Mine has not been maintained for last three years but still works fine
Vmacs.net
Is that just 1 tarp covering it up? You're not going to try and heat it this winter are you? You mentioned checking to see what the temps do with insulation in.
Just the one thin tarp. 50'x30'. Hopefully we won't need to heat it. Still need to get the door on and finish insulating before we start checking the temps. I just got a big insulation delivery today. If the temps get too low, we'll stick a propane heater in it but I don't want to have to.
@@OutdoorTraveler my thought is condensation. You look like you're up north. Where I am the roof needs R50 to keep the heat loss down to the point that the attic stays dry. You're not going to have that here, but then again it's only 1 winter and you're probably going to have you eye on it anyway.
R49 is the requirement here. I'll have R30 in the basement ceiling. But I'm not looking to have the place at room temp, just a bit above freezing. So the rate of heat loss will be lower since there is a smaller temperature change over the body only the insulation. But I still need to measure to see what happens.
Looks good.
Good job Jason
Good job
not sure if i missed the total cost?
I don't recall but if you call the company, they will give you a quote for the pump and associated parts. Not any of the pieces to do with the house pump.
Good job..what the part nr for the new one?
Very good.
did you cover the inner pipe while grinding?
No. I figure there's already a ton of iron in the water, a little steel won't hurt.
Very good. What about winter? Can it freeze up?
The pump is designed to be frost free and the pipe has a weep hole a foot below the frost line so it should work all winter.
Good job Jason.
May I ask if your sailboat can cross the North Pacific? For example, from Japan to San Francisco
Nice vidéo and Nice trip isn’t it.
Silly doggo❤
i thought that was a baby bear
Very nice 👍
Great video
I still remember them south rim sunrises nearly three decades later, that for sharing
If those large pieces are cut off so cleanly, and these pieces are petrified and/or fossilized, wouldn't that mean there was a man or similar creature with the tools to make such clean cuts? Or were they done far later? Even so, well, you know.
Got to go thru both in 76 when we moved from CA to AR. I was 12 at the time. Really Cool.
I remember having to go there for a school trip and bring super bummed 😂 at least we got out of class
