Went out with the Homie Nova to a local lake. Had boat issues from the start of the day. The motor was not cooperating, we thought ww would have to use the trolling motor back to the boat ramp. Primarily depends on what fish I’m targeting. If it’s croaker, perch & corbina it’ll be a longer rod ml w a 2-2.5” paddle tail. If it’s bay bass more oh a mh - h rod w bigger baits

When ya’ll fishing salt, there’s only 2-3 rods on deck. Bass fishing ya’ll brought out the whole arsenal and tackle shop 😂 but I get it! 👍

Braid was J-braid 10lb and jigs were some 1/8oz keitech ball head jigs. Or some cheap ones from Amazon, I don’t remember too well but that’s the 2 I normally use
Wow, never in my life did I think a 14 lb fish would be found in Lake Balboa. But now I know otherwise. Btw, back in the late 1970s a friend of mine caught a 12 lb carp in the Reseda Park lake. It was such a big deal back then that the newspaper did an article on it.
