    Excited to watch this, there’s not enough videos on here about ketamine addiction. I has some heavy trauma happen and havn’t had access to therapy etc. I immediately ran to drugs and 3 years later my life feels destroyed. I think the ptsd really sets off these spirals even after sobriety. I feel like I have brain damage and everything is challenging for me now. I had to move back to my home town after my ex killed my friend and died from some kind of mental break from it, he was terribly addicted and saw no issue with it. His use was far from moderate and I was living with him. tried to move back to Colorado or California but didn’t know exactly where I wanted to be and I had anxiety about ruining my life or not being able to pay rent down the road so I self sabotaged everything and now I don’t know how I will fix it, I don’t have much support. I never had a problem stopping before, in fact I never wanted it around me and feel the same during sobriety. but post trauma I will stop caring and ruin my entire life due to stress and anxiety like leaving my comfort zone. Was never like this before… it’s sad. I worry for myself. The worst part is I’ll stop taking care of myself now.

    ( Jamie here ) I worked for many years in mental health and dual diagnosis of drug misuse. I remember a client who was diagnosed with " Ket Bladder " and had to rely on pads for dignity and reassurance purposes. As a former addict ( non illicit ) that went into rehab @ the priory, recovery is possible and achievable. I am so happy to have heard what this young man has said. All power to him! I have been relapse free and continue to remain " Sober " 24yrs since rehab.. It works if you do the work, but the NHS (UK) needs to operate better support and rehab for those who stand no chance of going private. My family paid over 30k for my rehab. I'll always call myself a former addict as it is not a thing to be ashamed of. It takes strength.

    Jack, Mate....you are a Legend man! Your story is so inspirational, and, also the fact that you could use your voice and share your story. You give so much inspiration even if one is not an addict, you dont realize that your story make one think and, be should be greatful and be persistant to not give up! Get up, from the floor and in a dark place and get that help that is needed. Watching from South Africa. Lived in London, and know myself the drug situation, i also lost good mate's with suicide that just gave up on the addiction.

    Way to early for Jack to be helping others .. That's typically AA ... 18 is months not a lot in recovery .. All the best 👍

    • @ryanb9344
      @ryanb9344 3 дня назад

      ? You can be helping another addict day 1 out of rehab (heck even in rehab he can help others), he's still young so obviously he's not going to know EVERYTHING about AA/NA or whatever recovery style is being used (nobody knows the answer to every single question/scenario someone might have). I had 1 recovery coach in rehab, who had been clean for over 33 years & she said that her hardest year she had during her stage of recovery was year 29 of being sober (she had a few close family members/friend die & some large financial setbacks all within that 1 year timeframe) but when it became so overwhelming, instead of picking up the bottle again, she said she went to see a therapist/counselor to help her through it instead of going back to alcohol, as much as she wanted to, she didn't give into the temptation. The house I went to for rehab would let the graduates come back to volunteer after being out of the rehab for 30 days (if they wanted to volunteer), and they'd hire someone who graduated from there, if they had at least 3 months clean time after being out of rehab. You keep it (recovery, love towards others really) by giving it away - even if Jack helps or says something that resonates with 1 person, that helps them towards living clean & in recovery, then his efforts and kindness, caring and love are worth it. His knowledge and life experiences thus far, more than likely out succeed helping others more than some early 20s college graduate who just recently got their degree in social work/counseling/psychology because he can actually relate to other addicts & connect with them more than someone who pretty much has 0 clue / experience what it's like being an addict/how to help them because they can't relate to you at all - I only bring this up because my 3rd (& hopefully last rehab I have to go to) - we'd have 1-on-1 counseling sessions w/ 1 of the therapists & there was this really young, like 22 or 23 year old who was finishing up his internship to complete his Masters in clinical psychology/counseling so that he could become a licensed therapist, is the therapist that I got assigned with (he didn't have an addiction nor ever dealt with 1 before - no one close to him had any addiction issues either), & on top of having very very little counseling experience (since he was just finishing up his Masters), so each session with him felt very awkward & not productive at all - I might as well just been talking to the computer screen by myself (b/c our sessions were virtually through Zoom most of the time). So ya, I think life experiences & first-hand experience w/ addiction have a much greater impact helping somebody else (& for Jack as well too because he's "giving it away" - recovery), than another person who's just read a book about addiction & hasn't lived through it/experienced it

    Its terrible because its so widespread. I remember over 15 years ago at university, it was the cheap drug of choice. Even back then, I remember one girl who lived several floors below me used several grams per day. One party, she was so gone we had to carry her into the lift and help her into bed. Similar story in my little village, theres several here who are known to have problems via ketamine use. Its sad and the message isn't strong enough as to how damaging it can be. Kudos to Jack for shouting about it from the rafters.

    i got trauma during school but i didnt take drugs for trauma i took them because they made me less chronically anxious, now im soba im back to that // antisocial. but the ketamine isnt safe anymore its not the same drug it was doesnt feel as nice loads of rumours of it being cut with xylazines an fent. there was a specfic level of ketamine i liked alot of the time for my mental health.. (it was only getting really wrecked on it that causes kholes) but i genuinely wasnt aiming for that khole everyday. but my tolarence went up quick i did between 0.4 gram as a small line and half gram - 1-2 grams in one line to get (super khole level). i think ketamine should die downn personally i know alot of people have quit suddenly who was heavy users.. suddenly around the quality has really gone down! so kinda good thing. i think if anyone is getting addicted now its not ' ketamine hydrochloride' anymore. its all these diff analogs. and bash with the analogs.. honestly ive tried SOOO many dif batches in the past 6 years and its never been original mix or close!! makes you feel drowsy and i never used to feel drowsy on ket it was more kept me awake but dissociated.
