I think it's a good idea but... the problem is that by showing the cards face up, it is very possible that the spectator's chosen card will be seen, which destroys the effect.

I've found that you can get super hide grain sandpaper and gently sand down the edges of paper AND plastic cards. I know it sounds a bit nuts but you should try it, it helps the cards look new AND the edges feel better, at least right out of the box.

The phone call to another guest etc works so well, I did this on stage quite a few times and having the phone by the Mic etc...plays incredibly strong..Ive also done this on a pool table with about 40 people watching with cards spread face down, break a ball whichever card it stops on..matches the reverse card on the side of the table in the pack etc...

The Squeezers are by Organic Playing Cards (OPC).. Riffle Shuffle is just the middle man.. Should see about getting a few more.. They have so many.. and there upcoming deck looks really good..

At 26:57, the card is marked on the bottom, right border. The corner is squared-off as oppose to the other 3 rounded-off corners.

Instead of copping off and ditching the selection, I'd just keep it on top of the deck after culling, then it's easy enough to hide when spreading the cards to show the selection is gone.

This is probably the best method I’ve seen of this trick. It sorts out the ending seamlessly.

Man, I don't know which one is the best. they're all so sick. Artisan's, warrior horse, stargazers, fireflies. I can't choose. Great Video! There was one I missed though. My all-time favorite deck is the Bicycle Aura deck of cards. It is perfect for cardistry fans and spread, magic, and playing in general. Definitely recommend that deck. But this video was enjoyable and very well done.

Thanks for the video! What do you do if - in the third trick - they pick an odd number.. do you just very openly remove the joker and then spread through the face up cards underneath? Wouldn’t it seem odd that the joker is face down while the rest is face up?

I do cardistry a lot. I would describe myself as a cardist. I think respectfully, a helpful tip would be to open up her hands a little. Teach her that instead of closing everything together to do it a little more spread out and relaxed. All love bro!
