Modifying hot rod fenders with the English Wheel
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.11 месяцев назад
Today I built the other fender panel for the 1939 Chevy I’m building. If you’ve been following this build, you’ll remember I built a chassis on air ride for it and channeled the body down so it’s VERY low. That required the front fenders to sweep up higher to clear the wheels up front, and I also wanted to move the dimensions around a bit to make the aesthetics a little better in the nose, whil...

Nice work

Too nice to cover up.
Amazing work man!!!!
Excellent work
Tig welder foot on the beadroller
I'd love to hear your thoughts on flow rates for the back purge.
True Nappy Roots Living there!!!!

Thats a dodge charger my man 😂
Bitchen work
Nice work.
Impressive!
Perkier on the high side
Amazing Work Done Looks Awesome.
Quality work right there! Hell yea
Very educational video thanks for sharing
Is it possible to make this piece from just one flat sheet ? Or do you make from 2 sheets because it's simpler and faster ?
Collision industry say no tig for repairs. No advantage. 35 years collision repair. You need to take a welding class. Too much gibberish about metals.
uh·loo·muh·nuhm
Can’t we do the same foot pedal for mig welding some how or even use the bubble theory with maybe steam or idk 😅

Thanks for the layman's explanation dude. I'm a lead CNC machinist (mill, lathe, EDM), but I dabble in TIG and gas welding as well. I have an AIRCO 250 Heliwelder and a Harris 50-9 auto gas torch.
First explanation I've heard that actually makes sense. From an absolute beginner! Will definitely learn both as I go!! Thanks!!!
Great insights to an fairly decent but not a pro, life long welder. thanks
Thank you for sharing. I'm just getting into Tig Welding. As a beginner, I can tell you that there is an abundance of information out there on the net. However, nothing like this video and the explanation with a description as you have provided. Your time, just roughly 15 minutes or so, has provided an excellent road map for self education and expectations of what specific achievements should be attained. Thank you again. What a gift of insight you have given to those willing to listen and learn.
I’ve seen led used as filler metal in automotive restoration work done by oxy acc it’s lost art.
I had I had to subscribe man and I had to tell you again dude what a beautiful car
Dude what a beautiful car man
Who are you
Hi guys, this video is about me. I know all of you think im really cool, so i thought i would sit on a stool in front of a car that is cool while i drink coffee and patronize people that probably know how to weld or at least are familiar with the general process. People who arent familiar with the field probably wouldn't even watch this video so this ones for you, fellow white soled, no sock, cap bill raising, coffee drinking welding enthusiasts. You see im very very good at stuff. As you can tell based off of my retention of vocabulary words and their definition. Im good at every kind of welding, im so good, and soo cool, i only ever MIG weld because it is very cool. Since i only mig weld, and also have so much knowledge on welding, i even studied history of welding, that makes my shop high end. Very cool i know. Im not better than anyone else tho. Its just at my shop, we only use TIG. Did you know that high end shops only use TIG welding? Well if you couldn't tell by the title of this video, that is a true statement.
Beautiful work...longer video with some explaining be nice . But amazing craftsmanship homie
Excellent explanation. Also, very fluid narration.
Dude you need some detailed videos of this it's very good.
I'm just going to say before I watch this, all welding methods have their uses and you have to be proficient at them. There's guys that weld antenna towers together and they might use MIG but for reasons ect. I personally would be fine in most cases using MIG but if I was doing say a chromemoly cage I would likely want it TIG welded because the filler and gas is better ect and you really want the maximum if you're spending big on good pipes to build with. But for basic mild steel MIG is fine in most cases, stick is good for heavy welds.
I wouldn't be seen dead in a car that looks like that🫣
A wonderfully clean, clear, and concise lesson. You are an excellent teacher. Thank you!
This is wrong it's whatever the process is and the process doesn't call a 100% of the time for tig every incredible fab shop in the world has a mig machine with 2 bottles on it sitting in the corner....facts
Do you use any Filler ?
looks like he uses filler. It would be very hard to fusion weld seems like that.
@@actualsurferhe don’t use any filler my guy. He welds , he hammers🔨 , he sands and files , and uses the English wheel . Pure professional, Buddy is the real deal . 🔥🔥
@@reasonsunknown6707 What are those big globs of metal along the seam? When I fusion weld, the tacks are flat.
@@actualsurfer totally misunderstood the subject manner my apologies. I was thinking body filler for some odd reason . Filler rod 100% so he can have more material to work with . Especially If He’s gonna hammer down the welds and wheel it. Thats if it’s a removable part .
@@reasonsunknown6707 I thought so? I Have not done much seam work myself. Thanks for your clarification.
"Right?"
I had a thought to do this in square and bring it out and run them down the rockers, like lakes, on my Box Caprice Classic. Would square tubing be detrimental to a mild small block V8 ?
Incredible !
P r o m o S M 🔥
OMG that 34 is inspiring.
Good clean work brother!!!
You lost me in the first 3 minutes. Too much word salad here. all i want to know is which welding technique is best to weld my vw bus back together.
Clear as my welding goggles. Seriously, though, that was very well explained and down to the basics of the heating and cooling processes. Thank you for the great vidio.🤙
Jeff Beck. yeah, man. and excellent work, as well.
