Based on a Polish melody ,this has been the favourite of the Children of Dohnavur Fellowship for many generations. Here, Dr. Albert’s arrangement in a forward propelling counterpoint and the soulful singing under the guidance of Mr. Augustine Paul, adds a meaningful beauty to the Tamil lyrics , which invites Shepherds, Magi and the Children to come running to the scene of Nativity .

Refreshing my past memories when these forest based songs are sung during our groups visit to Naraikadu, Kodamadi, chengaltheri etc. These are in the late fifties and early sixties. O ye mountain valleys. O hush of dawn etc are beautiful songs with beautiful background sceneries. I will be grateful if some more songs from Sontham( forest based ) are uploaded in YouTub.
