Paolyn House Boats - Coron Island - Philippines 2024
My Birthday Present - a few months late, but was it worth the wait?
A big fat yes! Liz booked a one night stay on the house boat on Coron Island, the smaller island just off the coast of Coron. They arrange all your transport to and from the accommodation. These floating house boats are the only places you can stay if you're planning an over night stay on the island. We were picked up from our hotel and taken by bumpy speed boat to the restaurant where you order your meals for the next 24 hours. The food is then picked up from the mainland before being bought back to the lagoon to be prepared for us. You can eat either in your own privaye dining room or in the restaurant. Coron - Philippines 2023 - Making our own fun in the bad weather.
Просмотров 7256 месяцев назад
We spent a few days on Coron before heading to Coron Island. While we were there we were sat between two huge weather systems that basically meant it rained on us for 3 days. However we explored the town, tried the food, and drank plenty. There are loads of great restaurants and bars, and some amazing view points (if the weather was good!) Coron needs to be explored as there are bars round ever...

Palawan was so good, I've decided to split the vlog into a few parts. So join us in part 2, as we finish with the butterfly farm in Puerto Princesa. Before heading to one of my favourite places in Palawan - El Nido. The town here is the perfect beach town, so much to do, so many good places to eat and drink and enjoy yourselves. We suffered a bit here from power blackouts for 15 hours at a time...
Palawan Part 1 - The Best Accommodation in Puerto Princesa? - The Philippines 2023

Palawan was so good, I've decided to split the vlog into a few parts. So join us in part 1 as we spend some time in Puerto Princesa. We visited a wildlife "sanctuary" - this came up on a lot of searches for things to do, it wasn't the best sanctuary I've been to by any stretch of the imagination, but they are trying to protect the Filipino Crocodile which I guess is one positive. We found the m...

Canyons to super bars with amazing views, this little hippy town has something for everyone. AYA - services for scooter hire. They have a depot i...

Vientiane - Laos - The Capital 2023
Просмотров 418Год назад
Our first stop in Laos - we arrived and after Vietnam it was so different from the get go. So hot, but not half as busy. The capital was easy to get round, with many temples to explore, and a lot of history that needs to be heard. Including the information on the bombs that were dropped on the country during the Vietnam war, making it the most bombed country per capita ever. We made a visit to ...

Hey guys, going to Ko Yao Yao in November. I noticed you have a drone, what was the process like when you get to Thailand? I heard it’s a lot of hassle. Thanks and enjoying your channel
We loved these islands, hope you do too, you can apply for a licence... Or just be sensible where you get it out, I tended not to fly it in tourist spots and just did it where it was quiet... But no issues taking it into Thailand when we went - have the best time
Hi, thanks for the video. It seems we can kayak to twin lagoon but are there other places you can kayak from the houseboat, any beaches accessible? Thanks.
hey guys, we're about to book this. so for food, you're pretty much just gonna eat what they serve on the boat or did you guys take a boat to go outside of the area?
I don't think you can take a boat... It's them doing the ferrrying there and back. They have an extensive menu so no need to worry about food choices!
Hi, do you know if you chose the lagoon view or the limestone view?
Good question... Liz booked it... But I would assume lagoon view!
Jackson Gary Martin Timothy Jones David
I'll be there soon, can't wait
Great video. What month was you there please?
@@KeyboardWorrier hi, we went in February 🤗
How many days you stay in there? Becsuse i’m planning to going there with my family.
Hi, we just did 2 days one night... You could possibly do one more night! But that was plenty for us.
Love your energy mate
I will be going there soon with some friends thank you for the information
I hope you have the best time!
Nice video
Blessed day sir ! Nice to see more vloggers.Wepcome to our country and Mabuhay po kayo! God bless you and your channel.Stayvsafe and enjoy .

Great to see more vlogs. Was great meeting you after the show this Xmas!
😂😂I never seen any tourists couple are so happy and excited and enjoy their time together 😂😂God bless your heart ❤❤
Yeah. Used to be huts, bungalows, cows on the dirt roads. Sad to see it now.
My wife is Cambodian and just laughed her head off at you calling the capital ‘Nom Pen’. You try to be the worldly wise traveller but you’re not fella.
Where’s ‘Nom Pen’ lol. Have you been to Nooket in Thailand too?

Great video and insights mate. I've been to otres many times since 2010... A friend built a bungalows resort right on otres beach at the water... Sadly all gone with development. Just came back today after 8 years and wow im shocked. Its unrecognizable... Very sad the place go so badly ruined. Real shame indeed
I was there over 10 years ago.. otres 1 or 2 as it was called.. the village was so cool.. 1 bar back then in the village run by Les and Aussie.. sadly no longer with us.. then his mate took it over.. I then returned a year later..the writing was on the wall.. bulldozers were busy.. such a shame.. but, the mighty dollar or yen is king in Cambodia.. so I've not been back since and I can see why..
Hue is definitely worth the stop. Spend at leastv2 weeks in hue to see everything it has to offer.
Amazing! We are going in March. Any tips on what we should wear or pack? Looking forward to the experience but worrying about what to take 😂🙈 Thanks!
Are you asking what to take to elephant hills or Thailand in general? As I'm sure my answer will vary slightly
My favorite destination.
I saw the one in bury st edmunds and it was AMAZING
Stayed on Otres first in 2011 and again in 2017... such a great atmosphere but sad to see how much its changed over the years. I guess thats 'development and progress' for you 😔
Which hotel did you stay at?
Hey
Love the video
Fellow Brummie here can i take mini 2 drone or is there 2 many rules
I loved itttt!!!!! I came there on Dec 1
Wow amazing views
Thanks 😊
Well now i am in a problem arriving to phuket at 9pm but no way to get to that island
thanks for posting...im visiting in january '24..a great heads up..thanks ...see you there phauser90!! haha
Enjoy every second
Talk about white privilige and power. Going abroad, demanding menus in English, bashing city and government for that the local people are doing better than ever. And someone coming from UK slacking local food that is the base of THai food as well. lol Ask you one thing, last time you were there did you see locals playing karaoke and enjoying the beach? I can answer for you,, no they were not. Facts: 1) Sihanoukville has now more tourist than ever. in 2022 and 2023 it's #1 tourist city in Cambodia with over 6 million visitors. 2) The city infra was way way behind of time already back in 2014. All these western resorts on beach were releasing raw sewage to sea killing the sealife. Now it's better as multiple water treatment plants have been built. Also as you stated 2019 the city was full of gridlock of traffic. Hence they future proof the roads that It wouldn't happen again. Phnom Penh good example, they haven't future proof road network and every day it's just huge traffic jam there. And now impossible to do anything as buildings everywhere. Hence big empty roads currently in Sihanoukville 3) Sihanoukville has become 2nd most important city in Cambodia after Phnom Penh financially. Huge factory areas round the city and huge seaport exporting all Cambodian products. It's projected that in some point 2030s Sihanoukville will pass even Phnom Penh as financial powerhouse . 4) Beaches are now actually bigger and public for everyone. Yes everyone. Back in days locals were forbidden to come to the beach so western holiday makers can enjoy the beach themselves. Now locals have took over to beaches and finally can enjoy it. 5) The average salaries have went up in Sihanoukville considerably and now same level or even higher than in Phnom Penh. More jobs created too and population has went up from 70k to 100k in just 8 years.
Thanks for the comments. You make some good points, but these points tend to reflect what I was talking about. Also I loved food i ate all over Cambodia - I struggled to find similar food here, this is my point - we never demand English menus, we would always look and try to use Google translate when not available. However where we stayed, we really struggled to find good local food - and that's my point here. We walked very far trying to find it. Where possible for 6 months we would eat local food. I think I actually mention how nice the beach is and how nice it is to see people enjoying themselves... My point was it wasn't as picturesque as before with the highway running right next to it. If people weren't allowed there before... This is news to me, I wasn't aware .. and I'm glad people can be there now. If locals are making more money this is great. Anyway thanks for watching.... These are only my views and just my thoughts from returning to somewhere I fell in love with.
Hello Sam, can you help on how to book this for exactly what you did? Going for the elephants on the first day and sleep over to the khao sok? What to look for when booking? Still not sure if i will go from Krabi or Phuket.
Hi there, if you search for elephant hills, that's where we stayed, you can book a package through them
@@SamRabonePantomime Thank you Sam! I've discovered it but i found it very expensive for my budget, around 1300€ for 2 ppl is not what i can afford atm. Thanks for your reply and thanks for the video
Yaaasssi love panto
You guys did well to explore Bangkok and even visit J Fai restaurant. I've been lazy to get in the line. LOL. BTW that Giant swing used to have the swing attached to it and use for the special ceremony which caused many death. So they stop doing that. I've just realise you are Brummie, so are you Birminham city FC fan?
Ahhh that would explain the lack of swing! It is definitely worth getting in the queue. Do it!! I'm not a football fan but my local team is Aston villa, Liz is though and supports Walsall fc Thanks for watching
@@SamRabonePantomime let me know if you come back to Thailand again. Love to meet up for a coffee. 😁
I love Pai. But I cannot ride motorcycle well. Or you can count me as a baby biginer for the motorbike. LOL Hopefully I have a chance to get back there early next year and able to ride motorcycle in the future and go through all the curves. That would be amazing experience for me. BTW. I'd suggest when you vlog. Try to look at the len rather than the screen coz It would make me feel like you looking and talking to me directly. Please don't hate for saying this. I suggest with good intention. 🙏🙏🙏
I take that on board I'll try to look more . There is a bus to Pai though - so yojncould always get there on the bus!
@@SamRabonePantomime I always drove there and I have heard that you could puge on the bus. LOL. But I am looking fo new experiences. So. Yeah, May be I'll do that. thx.
Fantastic video - thanks for sharing. Can I ask you where you rented your scooters? Heading there early january :) greetings from Switzerland
Hello from the UK (we're back in the cold!) We actually rented ours from the hotel, we arrived and they asked if we wanted one and brought it straight down for us to use. There are quiet a few around though so I wouldn't panic! Enjoy the island! We definitely did
Awesome 👏
Thanks 🤗
So beautiful place in Laos 🇱🇦 Thanks 🙏 guys for sharing your videos , love it 🥰
Glad you enjoyed it thank you
nice video i like it
Thanks for liking
Great Video guys, I shouldn't laugh but at 6:44 The Story of Jay Fai "lost the business because of a fire and she started cooking like the rest of her family" I thougt you meant literally for one second 🤦🏻😮😉🤣 The food looks delicious but ฿1,400 WOW 😮 Sad to see you leave Thailand 😕🇹🇭❤️
Yes the price is sky high!!! But to be fair the amount of crab you get - she's made her money shelling the buggers!
Really enjoyed your Hanoi episode, especially the Brummie touches. Your tips will be useful for my Hanoi trip in November. I will certainly pop in to the Harry Potter Cafe. Thank you.
Glad to be of some help! Enjoy the butter beer!!!
That's a lot better with sound 😉 I've been to Pai countless times and never get bored of watching new footage etc. RUclips suggested that watch your channel because I'm an expat living in Thailand for the last 15 years originating not a million miles from you in Hereford. I used to travel to Brum frequently either playing in my band or watching bands in various venues which have since closed down. Thoroughly enjoying your vlogs, stay safe already looking forward to the next one ❤️🇹🇭✌🏻🙏🏻
Thank you so much! Lovely to hear from you - and I guess even nicer for you to hear me - I had a right nightmare as for some reason the edit had muted the sound and I'd deleted the file so ended up having to lip sync all the footage - but hopefully it's not noticeable. Thanks again for watching!
@@SamRabonePantomime I'd have no idea unless you told me 👍🏻
Their is a lot beauty all over Vietnam . I feels bad for the peoples there as the country run by idiots with no educations or any type of qualifications just they were on the communist side during the Vietnam war so all their kids get all the jobs . Bunch of snobby brats that expectations to give money under the table or else they not going to give anything . Their govt is messed mainly bc communist dum dum but when it come to best place to visit hands down Vietnam
nên có phụ đề bằng tiếng Việt. cảm ơn rất nhiều. There should be subtitles in Vietnamese. Thank so much.
I shall try and look into how to do this for you. Sorry I haven't done it anyway
Luang Prabang is a very romantic small town. Mountains and river in the background. Very beautiful place to live. Love the French colonial architectures.
