Wow, thank you for posting this! Just walked into the garage to unplug my PiP, and it was making this exact noise... I thought something bad had happened to the battery during charging!

I bought a 2017 Camry a week ago. I went to my garage at night and I noticed a buzzing sound coming from rear underside of the car. I was like wtf is wrong with this car!!! It almost game me a heart attack. Came back inside and googled it and now I know what it is.

Hi,Yes I had the same problem,the camera overheats in less than 15 min ....but only when recording 2k or 4k video not when recording 1080p.

Mine did the same thing. what i noticed is that the outer ring for the the lens is metal I think, and acts like a heat sink. stationary It will heat up, but in an enviroment where the is wind or water for heat transfer to take place it shouldn't overheat "in theory". I ended up returning mine. Going to pick a new one up to day. love this cam but not the heating.

My issue is that not only does the start menu randomly stop working (clicking does nothing), but also the search bar or cortana fails. Killing RuntimeBroker seemed to resolve the start menu issue right away (thanks!!), although there was some sort of weird 1 second delay before the menu appears & search bar still not working. After a minute or so, I noticed the delay had disappeared, & the search bar is working too. This issue is absolutely retarded & I shouldn't be surprised that MS still does not have a permanent resolution.

Finally, a fix that worked for me... thank you!

Nice fix! Better than rebooting. And because Microsoft will never address this issue - this really is a FIX. Make a .bat file and add the following: (run as Admin) *@echo off* *taskkill /im RuntimeBroker.exe /t /f* ENJOY!

For those still looking for a fix, follow his instructions for opening task manager but instead end task on "explorer.exe" once you have done this click "file" and then run new task and type "explorer.exe". This should get your start menu working again for sure, works on all Windows versions

bummer, runtime broker is not even running on my system

thanks! have only tried it once so far, but it worked! Just a heads up for anyone else triying this: I had to close the runtime broker twice though, i am not sure if there were 2 instances running or what, i definately had to do it twice for it to work. So try if doing it multiple times helps!

omgosh the music is terrible my ears are bleeding. also, I don't have that runtimebroker.exe in my taskmanager details, so still stuck :/

This bug has been around for so fucking long. I did numerous clean installs, but the problem eventually resurfaces. Enging Runtime Broker fixes it where it reopens, but the problem would occur again after awhile even after ending runtime broker.

bummer, runtime broker is not even running on my system, but then again, i do not use any MS apps nor connect my profile to ms store. I delete all that crap and use a local account.

Thanks for this post! I've had my 2014 for almost a year, heard that sound for the first time today! Same sound, same part. How long (minutes) does this check normally run?

My phone cannot hard reset because the sleep/wake button has been stuck since the 2nd week I got this replacement phone (no more warranty after the replacement). I guess I just have to wait for my phone to die while frozen and hope it doesn't brick... I also get error messages when I try to initiate a backup in iTunes because of the phone being frozen.
