Hey Man! When are you gonna put out some more vids?
Thank you :)
Thank you :)
Thank you :)
Hey Man! I am proud of you. Thank you :)
First off Noah, that muffler hanging way out to the side like that could put too much side load and break or crack the cast iron exhaust manifold. Those machines have a lot of vibration, especially at idle. Manifolds are very expensive. When running fill passes ( no stepping ) except on bottom, don't cover or hide the straight lines on ether side created by the bevel tops. They are your straight lines to follow when capping. Keep that rod pointed up toward the puddle on the sides to keep it from running around the side on you (use that arc force and make that puddle do what you won't it to do). Good luck to you young man. Hang in there!
@@genebrown533 yea I cut that damn thing off for that reason and thank you sir
My local mechanic estimated $2500 to replace my ac compressor and its lines. Should I just do it at home or is it gonna be a bi**h to replace by myself ?
It’s not hard just take your front driver side tire off
Looks like things are coming together nicely for you....congratulations
Thank you sir
As long as u like it is all that matters.
I love it even more sense I repainted the whole welder
Keep up the practice. Work on getting a root without having to grind it except maybe when tying in. I had just re-qualify in 6GR last month and was a little rusty, took me a day of practice to get it down, could never have enough practice.
It'll pop nice
thanks for posting. I liked your leads holders at first but i don't like how they hang off, my bed is like 7' 4" wide i dont need it to be any wider. will see how it all pans out.
Your bed is just slightly wider than my bed so you could set them back farther so they don’t hang. I just like the way they hang off the side is y I built them the way I did
Bravo for being candid about your weld and talking about how important practice - practice - practice is.
Thank you sir
Hell yeah dude, get it! That's a badass welder so it needed a badass truck bed. Excellent!
Thank you!
Dude that thing looks awsome! I would love to put that on my truck.
Just subscribed! Nice looking welder. Im finishing a resto on my bobcat now hope it comes out like yours. Great content keep up the good work.
Thank you sir
what kind of bobcat?
if your willing to learn and work. that 90% of it. keep it up
I think its looking pretty dang good! 👊
I am impressed with your fabrication skills! Good job!
Thank you but I still have a lot to learn
Bubba you are young enough to learn so very much!@@Redneckpimp I will watch you as long as you video.
That means so much thank you
Doing a great job! Love the videos brother, you could actually slow down for some install items though.
I plan on doing another video really in-depth when I get new tail lights because these ones aren’t working right
So after cutting and making it flat, how much shorter is that cap? 2”?
I think it was somewhere around 2 inches
Yeah it’s about 2 inches.. I just did mine after seeing your video.. saved me $200 from buying one.. thanks a lot. 👍🏽
That’s why I cut mine. I’m to cheap to buy a new one
Looking good buddy👍.
Way to go Noah! Looks like fun!
Got any tips for becoming a pipeliner man? Finish welding school in March and a huge natural gas pipeline just got approved for next year out in the Pacific Northwest where I am, anything that could put me above anyone else applying? And if I don’t have a rig yet is my only option to start as a helper? And do helpers get to weld a lot too?
Is it a union job or non union? The one thing that would put you above the rest is just showing up everyday till they hire you. If I was you I would forget what you learned at school and start as a helper and learn from the welders around the job. And helpers don’t get to weld very often
Missed you kid!
Thank you! I’m glad to be back
Awesome video do some down hill videos
I will be doing some down hill videos soon hopefully when I get on the next job
Beautiful
Great job budd
What made you choose Miller over Lincoln?
I’ve always like Miller more than Lincoln and I found that one for $500 so it was cheap and worked for a while
Hey Noah you might need more amps if that rod keeps sticking on you I don’t know what size 7018 you were running but for an 1/8 rod you would run 115-155 I normally run 130 it takes some time to figure out what setting works well for which rod but I own 3 AC stick welders and it took me a while to figure out the settings on all of them keep on welding man it’s a good thing to know how to do
I just wanted to see what it look like; after you put it in the 🚚.
I’ll see if I can find a picture of it
Hey Noah! I’m a recent welding school graduate (I went to a local junior college) however, am not certified yet. I’m working towards building my skills right now (I practice running beads every day in my shop) to prepare to get my certs before I go out to look for work. I think I am old enough to be your mom (I’m 50 years old, mother of 3 sons ages 25, 24 and 20). I was disabled for 15 years due to a rare autoimmune disease that is incurable. Surprisingly at 48, I went into an unexpected remission, decided I wanted to re-enter the workforce as a welder. You said something in the video, “you’re a young guy chasing a dream”. As a mother of sons that I suspect are around your age, hearing you said this made my heart so happy. Just like you, I’m chasing a dream (of being able to do this work, hoping at my age and with a long history of disability, that someone will give me a chance to work for them). You seem like such a genuinely down to earth, nice young man with a good attitude who really wants to do this work. Even though we both went to school, you and I both know, that teaches you the basics and it is up to us to practice and find ways to advance our skills. I have no doubt that you will be successful as long as you stay focused on your goals, your dream and keep practicing. I have faith you will succeed. Stay committed, stay focused. You WILL achieve your goal. Good luck to you!
I glad to hear you are going for it and your right it just teaches the basics. I finally got on a pipeline job and and finally learning what I wanted to!
@@Redneckpimp oh I’m so happy to hear that! Congratulations. I knew you’d succeed in whatever you wanted to achieve. Keep up the good work.
This guy knows his hard metals! 1500 grit to make sure theres no dimples! I love it!
Thank you sir
How much taller in the front did it make the truck with the stock obs axel in the rear ? Did you have to put blocks in the rear to level it ?
I don’t think it was any taller and no I don’t have leveling blocks for it
Holy fuck we never get to see how it looks, eat a salad make better videos and youre probably lazy af
4min in to a 6min vid, and you just finally got the lens in.. jesus bro we just wanna see how it looks
Tie end grind bit 👍
Little grind before restarting. 💯🤘
💯👍
👏👏 that truck is looking good!
Thank you sir
Would like to see an update video. I was working on mine today. It was not idling down. I had some folks tell me to check the grounding on the PC board. There's two nuts that attach it to the welder. I removed those and cleaned them up bright and shiny and put them back. Now the thing idles up and down as it should. The SA 200 community are the most friendly and humble folks. Hope your machine is being productive.
I would have loved to have an update video but one of my friends bought before I could totally rebuild it
@@Redneckpimp I was about to say, $400 was a deal on that machine. I paid $1,800, and mine was in much worse condition. Good luck in your endeavors. Hope you post more videos. You're an excellent communicator about welding content. Aloha!
@@waiakalulu7544 yep I ended up selling it for $2500 and it worked beautifully and thank you sir I am just trying to help others out
Just found your channel. You remind me of myself lol. You have the Ford version of my rig. Built with what you had and could do at the time.
Thank you sir! And I try my hardest with what I got!
Finally stumbled upon someone building a service bed welding rig. Looks good man! I can definitely appreciate the ingenuity you’ve put into that beast! Been sitting on a 81 k30 crew cab for my welding rig. Gotta get my ass in gear and get it built.
It takes a touch of ingenuity to get one of these beds to work. Thank you for the compliment!
Very cool
Thank you
Buddy that looks awful
I have a squarebody chevy with a dump on it and the painful stock mirrors...I can't get them where I can see anything around that headache rack. I like your new ones because of the little round additional mirror, where did you get them?
I found them in my uncle’s collection of parts in his barn but you can find them online just type in west coast mirrors. Yes these big boys make it a hell of a lot easier to see
@@Redneckpimp I bought my truck in georgia and drove it home to Kentucky...just about caused a couple of crashes! Gotta get some west coasts.
@@matthewtaylor2185 yea it’s crazy how much just a little bit of mirror can change your veiw
Where did you find the mirrors?
Don’t lose that 10 mm socket
Surprisingly it was a 7 mm I lose when I closed the hood😂
Nice
I dig it man you are well on your way young man, doing a great job with all this!
Thank you! Sometimes it’s hard to push through the ruff times to keep heading towards the dream
U did good bro, in welding no one is de best. We're all learning.
Thank you
