Very interesting i have the book written about the captured Japanese zero in the alutten
Any British tank of WWI Panzer IV Tiger E Sherman M4 T 34 Panther T 55 Centurion Abrams or Merkava - your choice Matilda II
The interesting thing about Prinz Eugen was that the US Navy had to bring back German crews to move her out to the Bikini Test site. Her high pressure steam system was a tad too complex for the average American sailor to operate. I'm almost done with a 1/32 P-51D in German markings, and finished a Bf-109 E in Japanese markings about 6 months ago. (that wasn't captured, it was sold to Japan for evaluation). I"ve got a couple of T-34/76 captured kits already.
Почему нет пантеры. Маус танк по факту был собран в 2х экземплярах но не где не воевал, танк которого не было. А Шерман совершенно не красивый танк в отличии от всё остальных.
Nothing I would ever consider building, and the AI voice is annoying.
Built a Emhar Tadpole back in 1997, still looking down on me from the shelves. Tamiya T-34/85 from about 1985 or so. Also still alive. Tamiya Tiger 1, about 1974 or so. Still alive, somewhat battered. Aurora Sherman, 1967? Long gone. Have a Dragon E8 hanging round to be built.
German has some odd vowel combinations. "Prinz Eugen" is pronounced 'oi-gen'; similarly, "beutepanzer", the German term for a captured enemy tank put into German service, is 'boi-teh-panzer'.
well done
No panther!!!
Missing M3/M5 Stuart, M3 Grnt/Lee vice Crusader, Panther vice maus. Centurion vice Merkava
Great tips, got a new sub 🍻
I have 5 models being built right now, I feel guilty about it now lol
WOW, Very nice work my friend.
going to have to try the tires in the freezer trick, sounds interesting, thanks
I would add the Hasegawa 'Waterline' series IJN Akagi aircraft carrier. It's a great kit, but very complex -- definitely not for a beginner.
rubber gloves lmfao oh my hahaha
I really enjoyed the video, its fun seeing other peoples work and their thought process behind them.👍
Good work my slavic cousin.
Stunning dioramas 😍
thank you
This "video" is a waste of time. Again with the idiocy of a robotic "voice," not to mention a purely personal opinion on the iconic vehicles that "no modeler can do without." Wrong on both counts. Again, a waste of time, my purely personal opinion.
You lost me seconds in with the AI voice…. Unwatchable.
Hard to disagree with your choices and the reasons for them, however the Stug III killed the most allied tanks of any German WW2 AFV (though stricktly not a tank), British Centurion in front line service 1945 (17pdr Mk1) to 1991 (AVRE), and for all the wrong reasons the interwar period Carden Lloyd due to all the false ideas it gave to designers and military thinkers.
Using clear varnish to apply clear parts is a great idea! Though white glue is still good if theres a gap to fill.
Personally I'd recommend just about any Tamiya armor kit for beginners.
very bad choice of tanks
As a Child I knew a friend that had a rather small Car with some Pieces Missing . I suggested that he Cut the Sprew Tree Up and continue fixing the Axel and other parts like Tooth Picks , Once painted it was Passable . When you Buy a model you usually see a Difficulty rating on the Box. Once you Open the Kit you Check to see if you have all of the parts to Assemble it , then wash the parts in Mild Soupy water. The Fun part is Finding Pictures of the Model , target Acquisition reference to Paint it. Depending on how much Detail you want , Weathering is an Art all in it's own. I had to Laugh when I saw the Snap tight easy kits. As a Boy my friend Bought die Cast figures which he Painted in Great Detail , Sold them to the Hobie Shops for Good Money .
I like how this video isnt just ¨flash = bad¨, because thats what I feel like alot of these type of lists become AKA ¨if its not perfect, its bad!¨, eventhough its crucial for a beginner to know how to handle small things like that, and its not that big of a deal. Great job on the video, its awesome!
I like the tire hack.
Nice tips. Thanks for sharing.
2:35 Content filter please. Don't need to know how little tanks are made.
Hello mr scartl.i truly call that tamiya merkava Part of my collection.with sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
I remember few years ago,I picked up a frog kit of the shell welder coastal tanker. Worst kit ever .the amount of miss alignment, worn moulding.unbeleverble.😮
Well for me: T-34, Sherman (any variant), the powerful Soviet behemoths (Kv-1 and 2), Is-2, Panzer 4, Tiger 1, panther, Maus (huh, ironic for it's size), Mk1 heavy, Matilda tank, T-55, Pershing and T-62. Anyway its my opinion cuz im more of WW1, WW2 and cold war tanks
The modelsvit 1/72 su-22um3k is difficult for the sake of being difficult. there is an ongadli amount of parts and most of the parts doesn't even fit. Like 22 parts for one sit is insane and there is tvo of them.
Correction 23 parts per sit
AI narration just sucks
Nice presentation. The maus and related E100 hybrids are interesting but I personally wouldn’t put them in top 10. Ya so many choices but didn’t hear one reference to Andy’s Hobbies newer tank designs notably their work to produce more large scale highly detailed kits…. And for some of us older modellers those smaller scale kits are getting super difficult to build. PS I find the robot voice strangely relaxing!
Randomly got your channel recommended, great stuff! you got a new sub :)
THUMBS DOWN: WTF is doing the MERKAVA in this list??? is this an israeli list? Renault FT ??? MAUS ???? even Cusader ??? No f*ck*n way: Want a modern tank? Soviet T-55 most contructed and sold tank in history. Leopard II or M1 as superb MBT. Funny design? Char B1 bis or M3 Lee. SPG? Stug III Nashorn, or ISU 152. PANTHER. Wirbelwind. Maybe Panzer I or II. Maybe a japanese.
You have some good tips here, one thing I disagree with is avoiding parts of the build because they will not be seen. For me the build experience is whats most important. You will get the most out of a kit by building and painting everything, even those things that will not be seen. To get the most out of a kit I think everything has to be built. It's the fun of modelling. For me I don't get the most out of a kit and the joy of building if I leave stuff out.
I sometimes leave parts off so I can use them for future scratcbuilds.
Missing Panther, T 55, M1, Leopards
Gloves? You aren't a real modeller unless you have super-glued your fingers together at least once. All these kits look easy enough, compared to a kit of sailing ships with individual wood planks and copper hull sheets, and miles of rigging. You can have them,
As soon as I heard AI voice… nnnnope, not staying…
No Chieftain or Leopard?
Got to say that the only one I don't think should be in that list was the Maus. It never went into production, it never saw combat and was obviously unable to operate in the field where ever there was a river crossing, need for long distance travel or obligation to operate in the open. There are a number of tanks of any nationality that are more deserving of your list. Otherwise I think it is a pretty good list with a surprise or two.
Comment No 2. You made the claim that certain tanks fought on all fronts. The first two certainly did not. neither fought in the Pacific or South East Asia.
This narrator does not sound like an AI but seriously struggles with the pronunciation of non English names. I would have thought it common knowledge that the name Renault is pronounced Ren - no and the Italian name Fiat is pronounced Fee - at. You may not be a professional narrator, but if you want to gain recognition for the work, research your script before you present it. It detracts from what appears to be a well presented video.
Wait. What only 10? How about the PzKpfw III and the PzKpfw V Panther? Or the various iterationscofcthe Patton ? Lest we forget the M1A 1Abrams?
I build panzer II, panzer IV H and walker bulldog. I guess t-34 next! What I love about it is that I can try find the version with symbols from vintage tv series from my country “4 pancerni i pies” (aka 4 tankers and the dog), they driver T-34 called Rudy 102
I learned it was a Polish TV show from 1966 to 1970. Four Tank-Men and a Dog, used a T-34-85 that's in the Poznan armor museum.
@@paintnamer6403 correct 👍! Saw it irl since I live next to Poznań. When I was younger (born in 2000) rhe tv show was very often and since it wasn’t era of Netflix ect u used to watch what actually was on those few tv channels. Very nostalgic thing
Totally ignored 1/100 scale.
For me its probably, Mark.1, Tiger, IS-2, T-34-85, Hetzer, Sherman Easy 8 & Sherman Firefly, Pershing, M48 Patton, T-55, M1 Abrams, T-90M, Leopard 2. Additionally 2 must have tanks are the TOG.II and yes the Maus.
