NEW PROV1X in the prototype white box!
Video helped me a lot, thank you!
I saw on Fred Couples a man who is said to never miss the sweet pot, (except with his putter). On his sandwedge the most worn spot on his sand wedge was way out on the toe, so I knew then that he plays a lot of shots around the green off the toe intentionally with his sw for a reason.
Thanks Brad.
I like the idea that there is a correct method in putting. I am suspicious of instructors who tell you to do "anything that works"...
@Brad Faxon please sell me the 4 color one
@Brad , do you want to sell the 4 color 1 ? Thanks.
I kept waiting for the cart alarm to go off lol. It looks like you lost your way.
Heartbreaking to lose those head covers...
Never thought about it like that before, but oddly enough that’s pretty much exactly what I do. The little forward press is what starts my stroke
Forward press closes the club face, for sure, but what If you set UP with the face sligtlhy open, than the forward press squares It, would It be wrong?
Great advice
I am playing tomorrow and will try both methods to see which one works for me.
Is forward press recommended for all putter neck configurations, or just plumbers neck?

I was a horrible short putter all of my life. I finally went to a wristy released stroke. Made all the difference in the world. A putter riding in it's own momentum has less propensity to twist. You have to give up control of the putter in order to get control of the putter. In the wristy stroke you are taking yourself out of the putt. This is why pros today move all over the place and get by with it. May even help. Listen to Crenshaw. He knew. And Tiger praises his son for doing the same thing especially under pressure. Practice Tigers right hand only drill. That helps get the hang of it too.
I have always found it better to not think much at all on long putts. Get over the ball and hit ii very quickly. Life experiences take over.
Who's gonna argue with Brad Faxon and Ben Crenshaw? Love it!
I would take this thing to bed! ❤
Yo I lost my Scotty head cover, please send me one, I don't care what style, have an extra?
do you have tips to keep the backstroke from wobbling I guess, for me at least it just doesn't feel like its going back "straight" but instead jumps around, up and down. Keeps consistency from my putts and hence struggle with "longer" puts without a slope
Nicklaus says in his autobiography that he started with an all-wristy stroke, then went to a stiff wristed stroke, and then used a combination stroke for better feel. Seve said for short putts he went stiff-wristed and straight-straight path, but for longer putts he used a combo stroke and a more circular path.
clown gary but bros 85 repin them out
This is a brilliant tip. Tried it yesterday and made 2 birdies. Thank you Brad. I’ve been looking for an away to fix this for years. I even use it with my close in chip shots. .
Can you please ask the man to start using magnetic closures
Not sure what to say here other than only a couple of these are actually true logos. Most of these are just small illustrations used as a logo. The closest example cited would be the branding iron SH.
It is 1.25” pvc, not 1.5”, thanks for the tip
Love Fax's putting tips, guy looks like he was born with a putter in his hands. So natural, awesome. And this tip works for me too!
They have a Scotty dog trailer hitch available…. Get it before it sells out
Love my 14k grind but is tough in tighter lie situations! Making me want to get a lower bounce and different grind
Hi Brad..I have a industrial gray scotty putter cover but how can i spt if its fake.. Thanks regards David
That's the grip I use too, feels natural. If more time was accepted on the greens, 90% of amateurs would putt better. How often do you see us amateurs take our putt within 30 seconds of cleaning the ball. We all feel a time pressure to not delay the next group coming behind. We miss more putts, we leave long putts horribly short or 10 foot past. Extra 10 shots per round because of rushing. Food for thought.......
To be fair to Gary, at his age (85 there), his elbow pain has to be considered. Gary Player at Rory's age - pretty sure he would be banging them out in good form... this dude was a champ athlete never forget that. Most 85 year olds could even do 3 like he was doing
I personally did not find this video very helpful at all.
Awesome. Underrated piece of information! Your videos are great. Thank you, Fax!
You’ve helped my putting a lot thank you,,,,
Haven’t tried it with a ball yet, but have took a few strokes over a line, and makes sense looking forward to practicing it
I like the continuous motion, but I worry, sometimes that my forward press might slightly leave the face open and create some push putts, comments?
For 99% of amateur players, this “tip” will serve only to encourage them to decelerate into impact. It’s not about the putter head traveling less forward than it does going back; it’s about letting the putter swing freely on the way down and losing energy (that would have otherwise carried the head farther forward) by running into the ball. Do the latter and you’ll accomplish the former.
Another video not explaining detail. Pointless. We dont want to watch you drawing lines jeez
Well, how do you control the free-flowing clibhead through the ball? As in, how do you keeo it square? This is the answer that almost nobody can answer. How do you stop yourself from wiping it (block) or coming across the ball (pull)?
How do you, also, control exactly when your club releases through the ball? How do you keep it square? These all need to be included in the video, to back up your claim!
