Crack block became illegal because players signed up for battle then gotta call a time out because it got too rough... Everyone who ever played pop warner football know the risks since they were like 7 that football is dangerous... When I played I was smaller than most of the kids around me but I hit the hardest to make up for it ..trust and believe I've gotta smacked and even had to be taken off the field in an ambulance after I took a sweep outside literally not one lineman blocked and I got hit at the knees flew in the air landed on my face and scorpioned touching my cletes to the back of my helmet and landed on my stomach... I was more pissed about them cutting ✂️ off my jersey because I couldn't move...that was 7th grade and I still played moved to Brooklyn for senior year and destroyed my neck and back and played just as hard... My whole long åss point is I knew what I signed up for and expected no sympathy or remorse because I wasnt gonna give any... I was never a cheap or dirty player when most kids were but if someone rocked me I'd congratulate them and let them know while shaking hands...hines ward was a beast and did what any wr or tight end should have done... We learned super young to keep your head on a swivel ... They need to bring the old rule football back.. I can't even watch games these days because its not the same game...soon they'll be playing flag football... rugby players break their arms fingers toes, alm that and they're out for like half a game and back in with a cast pummelin folks with no protective equipment...
