When I was a youngster back in the late 1960's my father had a A90 which he always spoke of with high regard. I can remember pouring over the owners handbook and thinking how much nicer styling of the grill of the A95 looked in the book compared with the A90. That sure is a nice example of a great old line of cars.
With the new Duckhams 20w 50 you could get 55,000 miles between engine rebuils or fit a gold seal to it. I had one.
If I had a beautiful car like that I would use it every day to go shopping at Sainsburys and than collecting fresh eggs in the countryside
You need to sort out the aspect ratio! Have you ever bothered to look at this since you posted it? EDIT: Looks as if it's been sorted now.
It seems OK when played back but the timeline thumbnails are wrong. Maybe the poster has corrected it.
My dad just brought a 1957 austin a55 today
Check out Return Journey Austin. On you tube. Brand new A 75 driving doco/ advert.
I`m not quite sure why but cats and Daleks seem to go together. I have 4, cats that is.
Looks very small in wrong aspect ratio.
This is like the car I can remember dad owning. I don't remember going in it. My momories of it are it roting away in a corner of our builder's yard in 6ft of grass! What I DO remember, though, is the colour: It was pale blue with dark blue for the pattern, (Where you have the maroon colour). This is a collecton of videos done by contributers to RUclips of cars dad had when I was a child. I've tried to put them into the order of when we had them. I have NOT filmed ANY of these videos! I put them together ito a playlist to find the cars to bring back memories. It may bring back memoies for others too! With best wishes
i have a 1958 a95 in canada in a pile of crap and looks like it but i made her a drag racing car she does 8.95 seconds at 149mph in the quarter mile i can not get any parts for it here i would love to find somewhere to get windows fenders chrome trims ect if any of you can help me out let me no pls i love this car because its so small and mine looks stock but beat up and i out run all my competition and in canada not a soul knows what this car is
10 out of 10 for the car. 2 out of 10 for video editing. You shot it in 16x9 aspect ratio and rendered it in 4x3, which unfortunately makes this large car look small.
Replevide
Not a large car. It was a sub-compact.
It was a large car in its day. I have no idea what 'sub compact' means.
Tommy Black you obviously know nothing about this car.
@@jeanhodgson8623 Absolute nonsense. You don't have a clue do you?
thus was car in Havana Cuba
Sell it to me I will love it forever!!
+Chris Parkhurst I can not find another A95 or A105. I think they re all in the grave yards . The build quality was lousy and they rusted out within the firsr 3 years. Thats when mine got stolen.
I owned on of these cars that I bought brand new and kept it in showroom condition.Sadly it got stolen and has never been recovered . When I go to British Car Expos I look to see if there are any of these cars and if so, I check the chassis and engine numbers to make sure its my vehicle or not. I had the twin SU carbs on them and a ported head which gave it a true top speed of 108 MPH.
Always loved this model, a friend had a ' 56 A105 Vanden Plas , with the earlier ' reverse slope ' boot tail, which I think had twin carbs.Registered PVE 606, it was one of the most comfortable cars I have ever ridden in, and I recall hearing for the first time ' When A Man Loves A Woman ' by Percy Sledge, come up on the valve radio, it always reminds me of that beautiful car !.Your car is wonderful and now a very rare survivor - glittering unashamedly, a fantastic motor from a bygone era !.
Nicely flowen thanks I have the mongoose and flys very well thanks
absolutely gorgeous car !!
beautiful
I owned the same A95 in Havana Cuba, I had to install an electric gas pump from a Healy 3000 due to the hot weather in Cuba, my A95 was the fastest car against the English Ford, the French Simca and even an Italian Romeo, and Plymouth smallsedan, It gave me 90000 kilometers and easily reach 150 kph, I love the car. Still is functioning in Cuba, I have seen pictures of my car in today's Havana............
We had one...
I have just read your post about the A55 Mk1. Is there anyway I can contact you about this vehicle ??
Amazing!
Amazing, fantastic looking car in near-mint condition.
well, i had the dinky model.....
yeah sent that to fedex who decided why not. put my 4500 mah android tablet on the delivery truck 2 full days in a row first with 105 degrees out and 2nd day it's 3:44pm right now. still waiting. 92 out. zzzzzz usually Lipo's are in tabs because they last longer than Li Ion. which is usually why they aren't found in laptops. boom. which probably is the likely reason USPS stopped shipping them. because of Lipo and not the li ion batteries. X_X
Fantastic. I am trying to find as much material as I can about the Austin A55 mk1 as my Grandad had one and I remember riding in it. His was in the grey/dove grey two tone colours but the interior of yours is exactly the same with the red upholstery. I think these cars are rare now even in the classic car market for some reason so its great to see such a mint example. Thanks
Dude we dont want to kill himthat LiPO was swelled up anyway and swlled lipos usuaylly blow
have you any more vids on it
Cost?
i want one of these wren 44 conversion trex 700 kits with kero start for £4.039.90 i dont want a electric thay sound like a pissed of wasp while a turbine is fairly loud but has a realistic start up sound which i enjoy i love jets engine thay are more fasinating than electric motor electric motors are boring dont sound realistic i want a rc helie to sound and smell like a real turbine engine helie nothing beats the smell of jet- A1 jet fuel
dude those thing cost like more than 2,000$
days to build.....weeks to set up seconds to crash
why were you destroyig these? I would have taken them off your hands.. :P :D
how much it cost ? where to buy one ?
That must be one of the best around! It's a shame that the video format makes the car look too tall and short. I think you can reframe it in the video instructions.
image putting that on a 1/50 scal low boy lol
@TooSlow2Care i don't know what the top speed is. I heard that it can lift about 12kg but have not tried it. The xlv has plenty of power, but you can't fly it like a nitro helicopter, you have to fly it like the real thing
nice smoke, thumbs up
very smooth and graceful!!! i'm looking into one of these XLVs and i know big fields get very small with a machine this size, but i have two questions. what is the top speed of the XLV's Fast forward flight? what is the lifting capacity of the XLV? i know the Benzine acro/trainer share the same Zen 26cc. doe the XLV suffer from lack of power? ok three questions. regards, Brian
You douchebags !!!!! some kid in Africa could have used those lipos to power his kidney machine for 3mins. Oh the humanity !!!!!!!!!
Hammer Teil ;-)..TOP!....die Musik ist gut :-)....wie heißt das Lied/Stück? Gruß Harald
nice smoke system there...
Lovely destruction!
WONDERFUL MACHINE !!
I wasn't trying to fit music to video - just a bit of fun.
Can't remember exactly, about 1200 pounds
Can't remember exactly, about 1200 pounds
How much did you pay for it?
Its a great model, does take a lot of space, but well worth it!!!!!!!!!
Very informative video, many thanks for posting. Still in two minds as to whether to buy this monster, got no idea where I'd put it!
