Hai good explanation thank you so much! But how to check the output where I can see the output
Thanks a lot man. Save me a ton of time!
This is two years ago. Let's hope that this import has improved, because it's of course completely unusable when not even the designators are properly imported.
bingo! I watching these tutorials for esp32 dev modules
Are you south-african?
Very helpful, thanks!
Can you show me how to get a Negative image of the normal Positive run. As you know UC light process need a negative image. Thanks
The arduino uno shield template I get when I go to file-new project from template-arduino uno shield is a pcb populated with Connector_PinSocket_2.54mm:PinSocket_1x08_P2.54mm_Vertical which are female sockets like the ones that are on the arduino itself. Where can I find an arduino shield template populated with the kind of connecters shown in your video that have male pins on one side that will mate with the arduino and female on the other side that will allow more than one shield to stack on one another? Or can I just replace the connectors with the kind that I am describing? I do not know which ones to use.
Dankie die help baie :)
the tutorial starts at 2:25
In kicad we can only simulate analog components ? or we can simulate both analog and digital components ?
than'ks
Great work 🎉❤
03:50 I was looking for this... working with freeautoroute plug-in, mistakes have been made, deleting every route manually was a pain in the back...
Thank you, you got my thumb.
Thanks, nice little tutorial.
Hello ! Is it working with Altium 16 too? Thnx!!
thank you! but I do need to make sure they don't solder the MCU, because I can't see if I rotated it correctly or not :(
thank you so much ! :)
You literally saved me I had no idea why when I changed the grid origin why my components would still go to the upper left corner, Thank you so much!!!
Thanks for the tip about zero ohm resistors 😇
Good work, very clear but, before you added the power ports to the schematic, the circuit was complete and will function as it is drawn. Then you added the power ports which made it seem they were essential to have on the schematic and we both know they are just common names of the two nodes and are redundant for this design. Maybe just start off using the power ports instead of actually drawing wires for the +5 going to the switch and led return.
What version of KiCad are you using?
Best I have found, I have been trying to navigate KiCad for over a year and found nothing that explains how to work with this program step by step. Thank you
Where is the pcb layout and fpotprint assignments video can you provide it me please?
were do i buy the bowden tube collet
Effing snapeda. Search for 1x4 pinsocket header and you get everything but a 1x4 pinsocket header.
could you please share the correct retarget file which you had replaced?
Legend! thanks
Those are called Sheet Entries on the Sheet symbols - used for a Hierarchical project. Ports are different. You can make a Sheet symbol using a sheet that has ports by invoking the Design > Create sheet symbol from sheet.... Benn using Altium since it was Protel back in the early 90's. Done over 3,000 designs with it. And typically - even for projects with 30-50 sheets, I still use a Flat - Ports global project. SHeet symbols and hierarchical designs are cool for things like multichannel where you can use the Repeat function. But overall they get to be a bit of a pain...
Hy everyone, can someone tell me how to program this device? The sample library does not compile and I can’t find the old versions you say in the comments. If so, the devices are useless. Is there someone with a GREAT heart who can help me understand how to compile the example of the video? Thank you all
Great Video!

Thanks for making this video, very helpful.
nice explanation
Why don't I have a spice resistor? FFS this program gives me a headache
Great tutorial ! I'm a rookie with Kicad, so i made great use of your videos ! Would you explain how to create custom shapes through hole pad with Kicad ? Thanks again...
I'm a mechanical major and my senior EE friend told me that learning this and making a custom avionics PCB got him an internship at Garmin and then RTX. He now works at SpaceX. I came back to this to thank you for this tutorial where it all started. I interned at Amazon and got to speak to how I learn different things.
thansk for your effort but i can't edit the led is colour how I can do that please I trying for that about hour and can't do that ??this make me lose my mind
Great creation with awful video quality when you need it the most ....
This was very helpful. How can i change the transmitting power? How to change the transmission rate?[Number of packets sent to the initiator]
At 14:37, the switch you used in the schematic editor changed from SPST to SPDT which cause some confusion when linking the schematic to the PCB. Other than that, it's been a good video.
Thanks for this tutorial. It was very helpful. I was wondering though - is it possible to simulate the circuit in this video with an LED instead of a regular diode and if so, how would someone do that? I would expect to see a drop of perhaps 2.2 Volts (for a red LED) instead of 0.7 Volts. Thanks in advance for any pointers.
5:50 Was that a burp in the background? 😄
1.import to pcb editor then save 2.open schmatic and import then open schematic so name corrspond to the pcb 3.update the schematic to pcb 4.voila
