I only learned about Lemon Demon like a month ago, so I was late to the party. And the song that introduced me to them was the Jaws song, that just played randomly on my RUclips while cooking, and I was like "who the hell is this, this is hilarious." Later I looked them up and fell down the rabbit hole with Spirit Phone and have been obsessively listening since.. I was born in the early 80's but I notice he seems to be very Oingo Boingo/Danny Elfman influenced, which is more my brothers era but that I've grown to love (possibly more than him) and listening to this reminds me very much of Forbidden Zone (which if you all haven't seen is worth the watch... Just to imagine how the hell this got made, wouldn't be possible today. A fun head tip.) When I listen to Spirit Phone, it's very theatrical and I imagine in an alternate universe it having a long connecting music video/movie ala Michael Jackson, Forbidden Planet or even Rocky Horror, which wish he could've done. All I can say is please please Sir Neil, make another album that compares to this one. I know it took him like 7 years to perfect this one, but we all need more Lemon Demon in our lives! 🙏
