I got injured, so I built something different
Click Here to See the Injury - ruclips.net/video/hYXeB9381fo/видео.html
A while back I had a woodworking injury. I didn't talk about it in any of my regular videos and had been sitting on this project for about a year and a half. Now that I have this channel it seemed like a good opportunity to tell the story.
Thank you and be safe!

Hey dude! Im new here. Im a mechanical designer who aids in designing multi-million dollar vehicle testing machines that simulate a plethora of driving conditions. I want to get into furniture design as a hobby, and im curious what you use to visualize your ideas. Do you do sketches, CAD, or a combination of both? Ive been trying to show your channel to my friends, and apparently i was just out of the loop. We love your work, and the content. Thank you

My sister and I have a project table that we change every year, in terms of paint. I think this year, we're going to try your triple crayon method. I'm stealing it, bro! But I have some designs I was drawing up while watching this video. Great job! Thanks for the inspiration!

The light colour of the wood. The sap wood 🪵 it was the outer part of trees 🌳it will decay. The most outer part of tree call “bark “ Come “Sap”.it Charastic of tree 🌳 😢

It not called “rotten wood. You spend too much time to rectified the “decay”. It was eaten by termites. It does not had any more strength in that particular area.😮

I am truly amazed at how your mind works when you design. Very cool piece. It makes me want to dig my guitar out of the closet and have you build me a stand.

I'll start by saying this video was ridiculously long however, worth every minute. I then want to say that naysayers can go scratch their butts and show their work before critiquing your work. I know you call yourself 4 eyes but you have more eyes that jerks don't know about. You have an eye for detail and an artistic eye. I was a home builder that always prided myself in coming up with unique ways to make useful ways to use space. The sad part is that most people enjoyed having but never notice. My work was never as fine and artistic as yours is but like you I was always proud of my work. I would love to have some of your work in my space.

so I'm watching right now and seeing how you used the unused extra epoxy which gave me an idea using all your unused materials wood chips epoxy shavings of cuts of wood add in some crayons and some dye to epoxy and creating some kind of Frankenstein piece created purely from left overs even larger off cuts of wood which you could also stain or paint to add colour and once bonded in epoxy cut down before any planning and sanding could even go as far as using broken glass maybe you broke a mug recently or broken toys maybe be like a junkyard table or something ad the possibilities are endless with that

Love what I’m watching. From experienced to novice you do a really great job of showing what needs to be done and how to do it extremely well. 💯 You’re B-Roll shots of gluing up, cutting, sanding, finishing or joining are done really well except if you know what a pair of retro infrareds cost. And how they are coveted, as well as some of the other tires you’re rocking. Some of us IYKYK. 😊 Thank you for the hard work you’ve put into these videos and the pieces. It definitely shows. ✌️

I'd be interested to see what you guys would come up with for bookcases and/or complimenting pieces to these desks. Maybe you have already posted a video like that. Not sure, but great stuff as always! P.S.. I appreciate how you enjoy the design and drafting part of the builds as well, especially the concept artistry. I, (although nowhere near your level), enjoy that part just the same, and keep a book of all my plans and concepts for future look-sies.... Cheers!

Nice build. Shit happens. When we stop thinking... Had my nephew help me on a big door replacement job. Let him cut casing on the chop saw. Briefed him before he started... "If you don't touch the blade, it won't hurt you." "I don't want to call your mom and tell her that you can't count to 10 ." He did good. The more time we spend working with tools, the greater the chance of injury. Me? I've spent years with my skilsaw guard chalked up. No problem. It's respect... I did mitre my left long finger on a table saw doing a free hand tapered rip. Stopped thinking. My fault... Fast food napkin and electrician's tape allowed me to finish the job. Vitamin E and Bourbon helped the healing process.

The gaskets you can get to go around windows and doors that stick on so they soft close would be perfect to go on the part where the stand contacts the guitar, iy wouldn't be overly gordy and likely unnoticeable when the guitar is on it, while protecting the head.

I feel for the broken wood with clear epoxy, it might have looked better for the epoxy to be on the bottom of the legs to give an almost floating effect, but that's just my take on it! it looks great as it is now!

Probably not cheap but a bronze plate attached to the base would stop any warping of the wood. Could use some nice brass bolts as well.
