@@rudymeow some do. Not all. The problem is even if they do include pre-applied thermal paste, they didn't show or state it in the video. That kind of detail should never be skipped.

Thermal paste will be pre-applied to the underside of the cold plate.

Как раз в промышленном сегменте плевать на уровень шума. Эта фигня существует для одного - напихать как можно больше серверов в одну стойку, не теряя в производительности (посмотрите как продают места на размещение в дата-центрах, по 1ю. вот с такой штукой можно платить ежемесячно за 1ю, а не 4ю например). Т.к. в случае увеличения куллера, надо утолщать сервер. 1ю - 1 юнит. Толщина примерно с 2хдд 3.5.

З.Ы. "а производительность хуже арктика 420" Интересное заявление на фоне того факта что это самая производительная AIO что можно купить сегодня.

@@NicholazRussia я к этому и подвел мысль. На этой водянке стоят высокооборотистые турбированные вентиляторы . Почти все вентиляторы в сервере такие

В промышленном оборудовании не нужны никакие тесты. Работать оно будет в допустимых температурных рамках при заявленном тдп и ниже. Явно вещь создана в первейшую очередь что бы утрамбовать больше серверов в стойку, а не делать холоднее или тем более тише.

🤔......Da Fuq⁉ Can someone explain why this thing isn't as good at cooling AMD? is it the whole chiplet thing with the compute chiplet and the memory controller chiplet not exactly in the center and the Compute generating all the heat? I am just making assumptions here but you can offset the mount for AMD like with some other AIOs. 185 is a joke, I can stick with a more traditional air to air heatsink with similar fans up front and ducting like most 1U servers.

@@jonas000111 Yes you are correct, the issue is the placement of the compute chiplets. An offset mount will likely improve the situation. This is actually an issue for most CPU coolers on the market, as they are designed to have the maximum pressure in the center and are therefore slightly convex. Great decision for most cpus, but terrible for CPUs that have the main source of heat away from the center.

this is for 1u servers. if you ever been in a server room the things are loud af lol. aio for servers just seems really dumb imo.

It's very typical for small server chassis fans to sound like jet engines and spin that fast. I made the mistake of taking home an old dell R620 1U server from work. It was given to me, its a very old server that was being decommissioned. Anyways by the time I dropped a fresh operating system, my wife let me know that it was her or that server. It was a really tough decision but I ended up dumping both of them.

@@LCJammer The lesson to be learned is that there are never just 2 options. I would say the same about politics but most people I meet are Repubicants or Democraps. Sometimes the best choice is neither.

This is a cooler for server applications. Still would be cool to see how it performs under normal use.

@@stevenbryant1011 Compared to 120mm PC fans, these have about 50 times more static pressure at half the air flow. They're probably around 60 dba, which doesn't matter that much for servers.

They have LGA 1700/AM4/AM5 versions of it. If you mean mounting the radiator. Some 3D printed stuff will do the job.

Exactly. I rather have a silent air cooler from Noctua or BeQuiet... even Arctic and Deepcool are fine
