It's been almost 3 years since I've ridden this trail. I may or may not have been putting it off, but there's just so much fun stuff to ride in our area that it wasn't near the top of my list. Couple that with the fact that I still have hardware in my finger and it took a while to get back here. My First Trip To A Bike Park - Blue Mountain, PA
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.3 года назад
Spent a beautiful October day at Blue Mountain Bike Park in Palmerton, PA. Due to COVID-19, the experience was probably a bit different than usual, but I still had a blast. Unfortunately due to long, slow lift lines (and the length of time it took to get used to riding a downhill park), I didn't get a ton of runs in. But that just means I'll have lots more to explore on my next trip back. Make ...

Compared to double diamonds further north in VT, NH & ME & in Upstate NY and double diamonds I've skied here out West (where I live now), Jericho and other double diamond trails in the Berkshires ARE MUCH easier speaking comparatively. Jericho is GREAT though!

Hey man, we all eat shit, I’m 15 years off of a bike, cause family and such. Now no lungs(smoked for that whole time), and now it’s get the body back to something functional. A while back I grabbed up a old hard tail 4x bike, tried doing tail taps , pulled a muscle in my left shoulder and didn’t have blood flow for like a week till that muscle deswelled… being old is fun, but to hell with it, gotta get back to it, for the mid life crisis lol.

DUDE YOU ROCK!!! Great Idea. Never thought of Kydex. I just got a New Luna X2 Ludicrous V2, & It's sucha beautiful paintjob and i want to protect the down tube. I hate riding with mudguards or fenders, because they can hit my leg, unless I run a small front mudguard. I Was thinking about a completely different way, that I got from an item made for dogs, Material is easy to work with so I am going to talk to a the person who can assemble it, buy the materials have her custom make me a downtube protector out of it. I love inventing, or coming up with new ways to solve existing problems. I think this is genius.

The new extension to rainbow road is just a extension of the rainbow road trail. When we where building it, it was called rainbow road part 2. Also trail forks is not the best to go off for those trail. Plus don't let your otb keep you away from the trails. I broke my one knuckle on " don't go right" Lots of things planned for that hill side. If you come back let me know I can show you around. Only difference is this year and next the incline is down for maintenance, but their is going to be a shuttle service(weekend only) for the trail.

    • @BikeShapedObjects

Hey there. Good question. It was my first time in a bike park. I just know that Boulevard used to be the easiest trail from looking at past trail maps. It used to be listed as the only green trail on the mountain. Once they built Shakedown Street (which just opened in 2020 I believe) that was designated as a green and Boulevard was upgraded to a blue (as it should be IMO).

It all depends where you ride. Most of the trails in this video (other than Shakedown Street) wouldn’t be appropriate for a beginner. I’d suggest trying to find a local mountain bike association or club where you live to get some guidance on good local trails for beginners. It’s an awesome activity to get into!

Nah Jericho is far steeper than one would think. The lower half is actually comparable to some of the middle tier blacks over in mountains like Tremblant and Breckinridge. It can actually get pretty difficult at times if there’s a ton of moguls or powder. Regardless, it’s a super fun trail and I’m definitely gonna be doing it again on my next trip to Jiminy.
