    While the story line and narration seem fine....... To consistently have images of carnivorous species while the narrator is describing this dinosaur is off-putting.

      Brown Turkey & Hardy Chicago fig trees are supposed to do well in Ohio. You have to cover with burlap or old blanket after leaves have wilted. They need to be protected from West winds. Suggested planting behind a shed for protection.

    A common concern is how dependable is the wind and the sun? This is called intermittency. Lack of wind or sunshine is a local event. The trick is tp store the surplus energy when it occurs. That stored energy can be used later or shared with others. Observations are pointing to a confirmation that on a wide area there is more than enough available wind, solar, and other renewable energy. At the present rate of construction, we should have sufficient stored energy for everybody.

    • @iareid8255
      @iareid8255 3 месяца назад

      Chris, a common misconception is that storage can make up for intermittency, It cannot, the required storage capacity is far too great to be affordable. That apart, wind and solar are inferior generators and do not have the basic criteria required for a stable, reliable and economic grid. Continuing to build renewable generators is a waste of resources and will never work long term or replace the far superior conventional generators.

      @@iareid8255 I would think that wind, sunshine, rain, and the heat of the earth would be considered stable and reliable. As for economic that's a matter of perspective.. There are those who wish to slap a meter on the wind and sun. When everyone has a solar panel on their roof perhaps they will sell you some electricity. My vote is for deep geothermal as base load. The issue is deep base load. Renewables might not do the job and neither of us know for sure. The way things are going, total system wide grid inertia and frequency control will become a thing of the past. Conventional generators will become obsolete. Really big smart grid scale battery storage is still in it's infancy, I believe the day will come when batteries will provide total mitigating control.
