Beautiful 😍
i need more about that wooden straw reed thing ? what is it? what is it used for ?
You sent me on a googling trip as I could not recall what it is called 😅 but I finally found it, you can find similar items with “Stainless Steel Spray Diffuser with Wooden Mouth Piece”, “Mouth Atomizer”. As you can see what John is doing, you can spray color with the tool, creating soft gradients. (ofc depending on your color mixture, wetness of paper, layering). Check some quides on google with the mouth atomizer 😊
its pretty
Thank you for the best description on 3 point perspective! This really helped!
Thank you for sharing your process. It's a refreshing approach. Best wishes!
Could you display the link for the full video plz?
She is very talented
Awesome.TY for showing us.
I have always wanted an art collection and the main reason I started painting was to make my own art (especially when I found out how much relatively unknown contemporary artists were charging for some pretty soso looking pieces, I thought, "even if I could pay those prices I would still rather paint my own." And so I did. I only seriously thought about selling art after joining an art website thinking I was joining as a potential customer and then they were asking for my artist's statement so I thought oh if it's this easy I may as well give it a bash. I haven't uploaded any art photos yet.... I'm a bit nervous!
😮😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, think I love this…!
Querido Pablo.Tus acuarelas son maravillosas.Esos reflejos ...✨🍀👾🛸

Real nice to peak into an artists mind! Thank you. Robt

HI ARTIST . I AM UR FAN AND STUDENT ENJOYING UR MASTERY. I AM ABOVE 80 AND PASS TIME LOOKING AT AND LURNING FROM U MASTER TEACHER .THANKS FOR PROVIDING UR TEACHING.
Whoa man. I totally got a watercolor chub.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
"On ne voit que ce que l'on dessine" je suis en accord avec cela. Merci pour votre partage que je vais mettre à profit. Dessiner à tous propos, comme un journal de bord, ça me parle énormément, sans compter sur la progression que ça engendre... Merci Thomas ;))
Thank you. Very helpful to see it done and hear why.
I've learned a lot just listening you talking and explaining. It all comes to practice and observation and experiments trying things out, testing the colours and possibilities. Thank you so much for that video and for the marvellous paintings as well. Best wishes from Estonia.
Just sent you an email yesterday, and then lo and behold your channel turned up in my newsfeed! My compliments: first, for your beautiful watercolor paintings, and then for this fascinating video on watercolor history. I had originally emailed you because I greatly admired how realistic your watercolor depictions of aluminum foil are, btw.
It was interesting to glimpse Andy's plein air set up. I was surprised to see the support wobbling so much. This is an issue I currently have and it puts me off painting plein air. Andy is an excellent teacher.
That period of artists are my fav. I haven’t seen watercolor paintings that reflect that period. Enjoyed your video
Oh dear, I now have more questions than answers!
Oh. My. Gosh. His made me cry! His eyes. His hands, like you said! Absolutely like he will speak to us when we are done saying good morning! Oh, give Mr. Sam a hug for us!

Excellent abstract ! All my signatures are interesting and “fun”. No two are alike. Like the painting itself, that’s what I enjoy doing. It’s part of my identity. Did you say why it shouldn’t be “cute” ? What is the reason for “non-cuteness” ?
Great to see your sketches and learn more bout your process, thanks!
I'm a brand new baby artist, started painting in Nov 2023, and I hadn't considered consciously that my signature is a compositional element, but of course it is hahaha. I almost never know where it will end up, I just look at the finished piece and see where it wants to go. And if it's particularly abstract I like to pick an "unusual" place to sign, kind of as a way to indicate that there is no right or wrong way to hang it. Also, I signed my name approximately a million different times trying to create the perfect Artsy Artist signature, and am pleased with what I ended up with. I both take myself deadly serious AND absolutely not seriously at all, so I am having a great time cosplaying as an established, respected artist and trying to implement the best practices of same.
Thank you for sharing your technique of breaking a subject line drawing into segments. I'm definitely going to try this.
❤❤❤❤

Lovely, each and every one of them!
This makes me want to sketch a 3-point perspective about giant sequoias. Super exciting!!
Excellent! Thank you John for sharing !
