Boondocking Bakers
США
Добавлен 28 ноя 2020
We are Mike and Christy Baker. We are passionate RVer's that hope to go full time RVing when Mike Retires, hopefully sometime soon. We have three beautiful kids Ben, Grace and Emma, that are out of the house either living on their own or in college. Christy is retired from home schooling the kids, and Mike is currently working full time and also retired from 31 years in the Army reserves. We live in Kentucky, however, we also have a cottage in Pennsylvania.
Like many we are struggling with the debate between selling our KY home and going full time or keeping the house and living part time (50%) in the RV.
We hope to post videos along this journey we are going to take.

Our first week on the road, working, school and having fun:)
So are you going to add a converter or just use the inverter
Just use the inverter/charger. There is no need for a converter since the RV will use the DC power directly from the batteries. The Victron inverter/charger will then charge the batteries with AC/Generator. That is a great question though. Thanks for asking!
Thank you for answering my questions, we currently have 2000 watt renogy to install, but thinking maybe we should go with 3000 as you did. We have 2 200 watt solar panels also to install, but one project at a time 😅
That is a great inverter. Our friends have a 2022 Tiffin Allegro Open Road with that inverter. That works great for them. Yes, I also plan to add Solar Panels, however, first things first. Need to get the batteries and inverter installed.
Did you remove the triplite? Also did you upgrade the alternator?
I have not removed it yet, however, I plan to. I am going to put in the 3000 watt Victron Quattro II 2x120 inverter. The triplite is a 750 watt inverter that uses a modified sine wave output.
Very informative easy to understand but watching in the series
Thanks! I will be picking up the project again in a couple weeks. I hope to video tape the Bench testing that I am doing with the system.
Hey Mike. Nice rig you got there! Looking forward to your progress. Subscribed.
Thanks Al!
