The music of STAR WARS John Williams
I love the final version that made it into the film but this one is pretty awesome too!
Me encanta. Gracias por subirla
@@yukatara75 De nada,a ti 👍
One of the greatest composer of XXth century... both for movie and classical music. I remember that, in early 80's, I went to a concert at "Salle Pleyel" in Paris, where Miklos was about to conduct his movie music...unfortunatly, he didn't appear, because illness ☹️..'only listened some of his unforgiven themes ❤❤
Correction : "unforgotten themes" it's a bit late in 🇨🇵 😂😂

maravillosa
Chapeau l'Artiste 👍

One of the most iconic film scores ever composed. John Williams is an arranger composer and musician extraordinaire.

Goldsmith in high adventure mode. When the horns come in @ :53 min it's so powerful, and under it the Irish theme representing Kilmer's character; not so big but it prevails.
It is a magnificent work and a soundtrack to be vindicated
❤❤❤❤Voll Liebe und Gefühl ❤❤❤
Jerry Goldsmith is The Masada. And I knight thee with Golden Excalibur from the lake to another leek (Dutch): Barracuda and groetjes from Masada Thundereater the Last Jedi de Pedi (Je dit je suis, Jesus the Jedi, I am I said Toby R. Nuttabee.

An underaapreciated masterpiece. Easily one of the best scores of the 1980s, but doesn't get mentioned enough. Poledouris left too soon.
The Oscars humiliated him, without giving him a single nomination. Yes, he was undervalued and underappreciated. But we have his wonderful music to remember and honor him.
"... and when, in the fullness of time, Zammis brought its own child before the Holy Council, the name of 'Willis Davidge' was added to the line of Jariba."
Finest Kevin Spacey film ever!
Goldsmith said he'd always wanted to do a score for a Robin Hood movie, but never got the chance. I think there are several of his scores that fit that mold. TIMELINE would be one, but for the electronics and more percussive moments, but he always served the movie first. Too bad this score didn't survive the post-production issues on TIMELINE, but it's a good listen.
This is an excellent soundtrack that should never have been rejected due to its quality. Fortunately, we can enjoy it.

It's The Enterprise, Jim, but not as we know it.

Thank you, love them all
Best thing about the overproduced movie.
@@UpInTheAtticJSW Of course!
@@diosmith This is a decent suite of the score's highlights. Sometimes JG got too saccharine for me, but his gentle theme in this captures the nature of the child ghosts as well as Eleanor's character. It's too bad the score didn't have a movie that stayed true to the book.
@@UpInTheAtticJSW The previous film directed by Robert Wise was excellent
@@UpInTheAtticJSW Goldsmith was best known for his action music, but he was also a great melodist.
My God, that man knew how to swirl and shimmer a string section.
I always loved when Joe Dante and Jerry Goldsmith would team up for stuff like this, Jerry was the master of scores like this he is SORELY missed.
I own this, but it's always felt too...icky. Goldsmith pushing his worst tendencies. But your suite makes me want to listen to it again, so thank you for posting.
Goldsmith had a knack for blending his own style with Asian idioms. Check out The Chairman.
He was the best at it
@@diosmith He really was. According to the liner notes for The Chairman he researched the elements used in Chinese composition. One thing he found was the use of (uncooked) rice on the drum head--you can hear it in the main title. I believe Spiral Road is his first Asian-influenced score.

THIS IS YOUR BEST ONE EVER IN MY OPINION. KMAMLA WITH THE LAUGH HA HA HA HA. BRILLIANT. WHOOOOOOOO
Great soundtrack. Remember watching that captivating scene of these two explorers sled-riding and sloshing through the snow wilderness.

1:45 “God is in his holy temple, earthly thoughts be silent now” chanting rhythm as heard in Goldsmith’s Poltergeist II. (quite similar) Only noticed it now after many years.
Fantastic score
If and when I ever go on Safari (especially if lion is on license) this will be blasting in my headphones on the trip there and back.
I wasn't expecting to hear a nod to Copland's "Billy the Kid" at 2:00 with those parallel fifths in the horns. That's a pleasant similarity, even if unintentional.
Anyone know the lyrics to what they are singing.
Muy apropiado en éstas fechas, excelente
@@emiliocomici64 Gracias!
The score was brilliant, and so much better than the film itself.
The making of the film though, was LEGENDARY in itself, what with them building an actual forest on set... and then that forest burning to the ground overnight... and then them rebuilding it... just a massive undertaking, still one of my child hood favorites... so many great faces... but it was the music that always drew me in the most.
Masterpiece🎉
very happy to see this track on its own without the obnoxious brass followup attached (sorry mr goldsmith it just murka'd up the arrangement too much and stomped on the first piece, i know that wasn't your idea though)
Thanks
