I Made a Turtle ENEMY and It Almost Broke Me!

You could potentially replace the disappearing trees with lower detail meshes or straight up billboard sprites so you still have something there so that the appearing decorations are a little bit less obvious. Great work though. I immediately subscribed! Can’t wait to see more!
Thanks for the suggestion! This was actually on my mind but I felt billboarding might make the trees look too odd but this is something I'll look into in the future. Maybe I can use depth of field and some blurriness with billboarding? I'm open to more ideas and suggestions too.

Nice! Can finally camp in the bushes now 😂, but jokes aside, the environment and the variety of trees, rocks, bushes etc. starting to make the world feel full and interesting to explore

There are a few reasons why I showed the final result right at the beginning but one of the bigger ones has to do with getting some visibility, considering that I'm just starting out. I have tons of other plans to experiment with but thank you for your input!

Will there be enemies? And did you make all the textures yourself? They look nice!
Yes. There will be enemies. I've showcased a few of these enemies in the previous devlog but they aren't enough to make the game challenging and dynamic. So I'm currently working on adding tons more, and I'll be making more videos on them as I make them. And yeah, I made all the 3D models/textures myself!
