I loved it at first. I don't read X-men. Their books are soooo convoluted and you need to read and remember hundreds, if not thousands of back issues in order to follow the story. But an Ultimate series is SUPPOSED to be good even if youre not a scholar of X-men lore. This series started off explaining who was who...spending time on character development. But then, a bunch of characters show up, no time to explain wtf is going on. I hate dropping a book after 7 issues...that's a lot of time and money invested. But it's no fun to read if i have to constantly check the list of the characters and try to figure out who is who. And online, people talk about the characters using codenames when the comic has not even told me the codenames! So, this book ain't for me. I really would love Marvel to do an X-men title that does NOT require a college degree in x-men history.

I dug this miniseries. Honestly, I never expected evil Peter from this (I thought it was just a horror themed Spidey book). There was something about the writing that didn't quite feel like Peter at times (like you said, just didn't have whatever that *something* is), but I will take anything with Peter that is, at least, trying to do something kind of different. Also like you said, it only ever gets right up to the edge but doesn't fully land. Where I had dropped ASM a while back, and until Hickman's USM started up, I was itching for any books doing *something* interesting with Peter. The art definitely does a ton of work to lift the book. I will always take an interesting piece of art that doesn't fully achieve its goals over something blandly safe, every day.

So I’m guessing they’re gonna make stories of mutants in different regions, because I definitely don’t see momoko working on this series for long, because she doesn’t know anything about X-men, and she was shocked that they asked her to work on this. Mutants in this universe are very mysterious… in ultimates we saw mutants protesting, and on the recent ultimate Spider-Man (#8) we can assume that maybe most of the mutants live in Russia- or whatever the Rasputins territory is called. Maybe the maker erase their history so the public doesn’t know? By controlling the mutant population mostly appear in Japan and Russia? Wonder what he did to magus and Charles. He definitely did something to Charles so he couldn’t form the X-men.

What the fuck does it have to do with Ultimate Marvel!?!? Why are they called Men, when there are NO men on the team!?!? It's, what it is I guess. It's a cool DEI manga.

I’m enjoying the series so far love peach’s art I wonder how they will do Moon knight in this universe especially Marc Spector.

I see this as persona /x-men style in japan, the story is ok i realy like her art style and will collect first story arc at least.None of current x men titles realy interest me,prefer older x-men.

I do like how this ultimate x-men is the direct antithesis to the old ultimate x-men more magical in nature instead of science based and had to be connected to wolverine and Captain America. I do notice that being the theme of all the new ultimate line

Thee thing I love about Ultimate X-Men is that this is essentially the story of the mutant generation forming in 2024 rather than 1965. What makes it even more interesting is because there is no Xavier and no Magneto, you have a bunch of kids that are left directionless (which is pretty topical for today). Also, the plot reminds me so much of JJBA: Diamond Is Unbreakable.

Considering there are a plethora of high quality fan comics of ben 10, such as Kuro The Artist's and Ink Tank's Ben 10/Danny Phantom: 5 Years Later (5YL for short), I completely agree that Ben 10 is a perfect franchise to adapt into a comic book

There was a Ben 10 comic series. I had one issue: Ben's Knightmare where they had to steal a device from the Forever Knights to undo a mutation in Julie. Not all of the issues fit into the prime canon though like the one where Ultimate Echo Eco still could duplicate himself. Ironically, one issue that did otherwise fit included Dr. Animo creating a primate so evolved it literally turned into a god and peaced-out into space.

I don't know or forgot if you mentioned it in the video, but there were actually a few Ben 10 comics. Omniverse actually had quite a bunch of them (albeit kid-humor) with stories we never got to see in the show, like another Omnitrix user in Ben Prime's universe called Tim. Edit: pretty sure some of them took place in those kid magazines you find in convenience stores or supermarkets.

There were Ben 10 comics in the form of the CN action packs, and the Ben 10 magazines that used to come out during the show's run. They're nothing amazing but had some fun stories. Classic Ben goes to space camp and learns the ship has been sabotaged, Classic Ben fights a basically omnipotent monkey created by Dr. Animo, Classic Ben fights two different villains that can counter his aliens, AF Ben time travels and fights 10 year old Ben, AF Ben gets Brainstorm's intellect and ego in his human form, UA Ben fuses with Julie and no I'm not making any of these up. I think Generator Rex had some too but I could never find them.

This Concept is so interesting that I now hope it actually does become a comic! Though the only thing I would change is ben being 15 instead of 16 so that he's a freshman in high school and has more of a reason for not thinking about his future. Also Malware is such a good choice as a starting villain.

I have been thinking for years that Ben 10 should indeed be made into a comic. I mean it's already practically a superhero comic in cartoon form, down to having some of the flaws such as a lot of convoluted retcons :p But joke aside, your ideas are interesting^^ I especially like the idea of Rex sharing an universe with him.

Oh cool. I findally found this video again. Recalled some good stuff, but couldn't remember specifics. The Power Rangers art fascinated me, so I thought I might give it a try despite never watching power Rangers. I am unsure which Sonic Comic line to wit down and read. Their is the Archie, Sonic the Comic, and IDW with very distinct, but interesting interpretations.
