Great preservation work. My brothers had Johnny West and the covered wagon when i was little. I used to use Johnny when I played Barbies. He was on the tall side, but i didn't care, lol.

I was six years old and had just gotten this toy. I was sitting in the back of a Chevy Biscayne while my mom and dad made a quick trip into the store. Unbeknownst to them I had grabbed a serrated kitchen steak knife when we left the house and as soon as I was alone, I opened up that box, lay the little plastic accessory kit on my leg and began sawing away trying to free up that bow and arrow....you know what happened, right through my new tough skins and into my leg....that scar is two inches long and still clearly visible today.

Congrats on your next chapter. I wanted to thank you for sharing the many videos of your beach walks in SF. They were some of my favorite videos you uploaded. I’ll miss seeing the beach and hearing your thoughts as you walked, but I’m sure there will be many new places to explore, and you will bring us along. I’m looking forward to it. How about the fact that if you win a car on the show you must pay the taxes on it right then and there. If you dont have the money a broker is there that will purchase the car from you for pennies on the dollar. Everything is a show or a game if you think about it. Nothing is real.

I got mine for Christmas 1974. I was 4 at the time and loved it. I never liked the chaps, but hey, I was a kiddo. I always wanted more, but shifted to G.I. Joe Adventure Team. I remember seeing both lines on the store shelves. Great memories!

You're absolutely correct in identifying the head sculpt as Robert Conrad ... If I'm not mistaken Marx was going to make a James West figure. If you look at the Sam Cobra figure and his accessories that's all stuff from the Wild Wild West TV series. I think they couldn't get licensing or something so Marx went with the Silver Knight head and made him a bad guy for the series.

Does anyone recall a rifle version of this gun. I thought I had one but cannot seem to find a video of one. I also set up my plastic toy soldiers and fired away and spent many an hour doing this. This was certainly one of my favorite toys.
