Living below your means is one of the easiest ways to sustainably build your finances. I once heard Fisayo Fosudo say that he doesn't spend beyond 10% of his income on any expense or item. That's a wise thing to do in my opinion. Thanks for sharing Favour🤗🤗 Also, congratulations on hitting 1,000 subscribers 🥳🥳🥳
@@AdekoyejoOlatoye Awwn. Thanks Mr Olatoye🤗. The 10% rule doesn’t sound like a bad idea.
as always best❤❤❤❤❤❤
I enjoyed watching this video. Thank you for being very concise and detailed..cheers❤
Hi, I have an LLB from Iran and an LLM in International Law from the UK. I also have a UK ENIC statement confirming that my LLB from Iran is equivalent to a UK Level 6 qualification. I would like to know if I am eligible to sit for the SQE1 and SQE2 exams or if any additional steps are required. Thank you so much you share your experience and knowledge
@@Sol__Law hey there, thanks for watching. Yes, you should be able to do that I believe. Here’s a link you can check out for more details; www.sra.org.uk/become-solicitor/admission/pathways-qualification/. I hope this helps.
This is quite insightful. From experience having stayed 23 years on a career path I agree totally that Nomadism is a welcome adventure in the work space. My most exciting time in my career journey was when I made that switch. And yes, it’s never late to switch.
@@adenikebabajamu1992 Absolutely! It’s never too late to switch
And yes to flexibility, adaptability, openness and willingness to learn and the power of a strong network and community for support and consistency.

Wow. My life! This was so insightful and relatable!! Finally someone has explained to me what exactly i’ve been trying to explain about my career changes. Thank you Favour. ‘Career Nomadism’ Got it! Runs to read more on the articles in the description 🏃♀️
@@estherokhukpe Lol. It took me a while to come to terms with it as well😃. But I’m excited to be on this journey and glad you could relate to. Hope you found the articles useful too?
@@FavourBabajamu Righttt. Thank you. I sure did.

@@pribodunke Exactly!
Congratulations Favour, you keep conquering higher grounds, i love that for you. Did you pivot from legal practice, if yes, how did you do that considering you did an LLM? You can help shed some light to guide those aspiring to tow same path. On ideas for content, I wouldn't mind contents about your new role, how juggle your day to day task at work etc.
@@victorbassey997 Thank you so much! Glory to God for that. Yes, I pivoted from legal practice. Having an LLM set the stage for the transition and I just leveled up on the transferable skills which I had previously gained. As for content ideas, I love the suggestion! I'll see how much I can share to the best of my ability 😅
Weldone sis, Can I go with my dependent to study in scotland?
Hello there, thank you very much. I'm afraid the same restrictions on dependents apply across the whole of UK including Scotland. The restrictions don't affect research programs though so if it's a PHD or Masters Research program, you should be good. I hope this helps
@@FavourBabajamu thank you

Was the NYSC experience itself intersting for you?
@@ireoluwaibukunoluwa It was just the PPA work experience I liked. I enjoyed working in a law firm. It gave me so much exposure and experience. There was nothing enjoyable about the NYSC for me. Well except the 33k monthly allowance and freebies I got as a corps member 😅. I remember getting on the buses for free. Those were the only things I liked
Intersting story. Did you need your NYSC certificate to process your masters abroad
@@ireoluwaibukunoluwa thank you. Not at all. You just need your University degree certificate
Can you work for more than 20 hours immediately after your course ends date? Even though you’ve not applied for your PSW?
Yes, please. Provided you meet all your University’s requirements for completion of your program including turning in your dissertation as and when due. Please visit the UK CISA website for more information - www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information--Advice/Working/Student-work#layer-6645

How many years would this take to do and how can I become a solicitor advocate? I want to be a solicitor that can sometimes appear in court behind the barrister. ❤
@@ramatoulie12 it doesn’t take too long to requalify as a solicitor in UK as long as you meet the requirements. In UK, solicitors and barristers practice separately so you’ll also have to requalify as a Barrister. However, there are some small claims matters you can handle in some lower courts as a solicitor even if you’re not a barrister. I hope this helps
@@FavourBabajamu I thought you would have to do the Higher Rights of Audience to become an advocate. I was just wondering roughly how many years, as I know to gain a bachelors would take 3-4 years + SQE.
Is a qualified lawyer from Nigeria exempted from the QWE?
Oh I just got to the part where you answered my question😊. This video is loaded and straight to the point.
I am currently in the UK, and I happen to have a 3 year visa for a one year masters program. I got two jobs and one of my job did not ask for my NI, which means I got to work more than 20 hrs, will my PSW visa application be affected when I apply probably in 2026?

For someone who has not been in the uk or have a Uk Visa, and I do not know if the speaker had or is a frequent visitor to the UK, I’ll like to know what her experience was travelling and acquiring visa, or she did all these whilst studying for her masters.. generally just asking about the visa process for the whole thing, sorry 😅

How to become a lawyer in uk if you already have LLB
How about studying and doing work experience in Gibraltar? Would that allow you practice in the UK?
Hello there. I just looked up Gilbraltar and I am not certain what jurisdiction that falls under. Whatever the case, you can confirm from the SRA website if it qualifies for an exemption. Here’s a link to check it out www.sra.org.uk/become-solicitor/qualified-lawyers/sqe-exemptions/ I hope this helps

Hi ... is it mandatory that we must have acquired certain percentage in our previous degree to write the SQE exm
I am not sure what you mean by percentage. However, the requirement is that it doesn’t have to be a law degree. I am unaware of any specific requirement as to percentage
Thanks for great information ❤
Thank you.
Yup I picked Scotland over England because bachelor's degree was free :) Also Denmark and Sweden have free education but decided not to go as I don't know their language... I'm EU citizen though.
