A walk through of McCall's Costumes pattern M7615 view E tutu only, mixed with my own tips and tweaks. I'm a professional costumer for theater, opera, dance and film, and don't usually do ballet, so this was a learning experience for me too. Join me in my journey! I am not sponsored, I just like McCall's patterns and use them often to teach my classes. Here's a link to the pattern if you want to follow along and use it: simplicity.com/mccalls/m7615

6 hours of jewelry making condensed into almost 9 minutes. I designed and made this necklace for my vampire film, A Shattered Soul, which will hopefully be out next year. It is worn by both the Duchess and the Duchess's cousin. Find out why when the film comes out . . . Please read and follow all MSDS and instructions when working with chemicals and do not try this at home. Use a professional shop with a ventilated space and wear all your proper PPE. It is best if you have the assistance of a costume or makeup professional to assist you through this process for your first time.

I Don't Think My Character Would Wear This
This was a workout just watching it! 😂 That tutu is a beast, but it turned out incredible-so much respect for tackling all those layers! lol 🔥👏
Hello, I'm using this pattern for skirt A and I'm confused on sewing the tulle. Can you explain what they mean in the pattern when sewing all parts 13 together?
Of course! The pattern has you cut multiple of piece 13. You then stitch them together side seam to side seam so that you have a long rectangle of piece 13s sewn together: 13-13-13-13. Then you stitch them into a circle by connecting the two outer ends together, but this time, you don't stitch the full length of the seam, you go from the bottom to a dot marked a few inches from the top of the skirt. This makes it so that you have an opening later so that the skirt can be taken on and off. In my tutorial, I didn't want to have the seams, so I instead cut my tulle as continuous strips the length of the pattern pieces, with the width of the pieces multiplied by the number of pieces. So, for example, if a pattern piece was is 10" long and 30" wide and it told me to cut 5, I instead cut one piece that was 10" long and 100" wide, thus bypassing having to stitch the pieces together, but ending with the same result of a rectangle with similar dimensions (it's slightly larger because the seam allowance isn't removed). As a side note, the pattern is a bit lazy and has you sew the seams as normal seams, but sheer fabrics should be sewn with French seams, which you can find a tutorial on how to do here: ruclips.net/user/shortsU08m8nJkdJo?si=jwMlYODeHpaDSb5w Does that help?
@@TheSavageSavage Thank you so much for explaining. I think I cut it out right and sewed right. However, I ended up deviating from the pattern afterwards. For whatever reason, I was just hitting a wall!
This is a straw hat?
Yes! It's a straw hat, and can use this technique on felt hats as well. 😁
Thanks for the video ❤.
Thanks for watching!
I am a professional alterationist. I take in pants at the center back all the time. It is the best way to do it.
My people! I think so too! I don't know why there are so many stitchers who avoid the alteration like the plague. I'm all for side back darts, but those can get in the way of pockets, so I prefer to alter the CB.
It’s the only way with alterations on existing garments because who want to deal with pockets?
Great tip ! Your sewing room is a mess and looks unorganised, its not a nice look for viewer's, however I like you and your sewing.
I love stuff like this, very clever! Looks wonderful!
Beautiful transformation and beautiful dress!❤
This is amazing!!!
Thank you!! It's all thanks to the fabulous sewing machine I bought at your shop that I was able to make this!
