An iconic moment, seeing you both together ❤️
Such a good point. It's easy to get intimidated
What a beautiful shop and studio! Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous art with us! 👏❤️🌷
Lovely design on your shirt
So you lived in ”Asia”… hm. At least 20 different countries, almost countless languages, cultures, ethnic groups and traditions, music and art and so on. U from the us of a?.. ;-)
Ann, loved your story. Your such an inspiration to me. Heard about you through Plf. Thank you 🙏
❤❤❤
Very well said
How do we compete with AI generated art?
It's ugly, hand created is beautiful so focus on marketing that. Make it shine, show the 'hand of the maker'. There's people who would never buy ai looking stuff. Those are just my thoughts, I can't say how fruitful that would be.
Thank you for your advice! I am a beginner and I need a lot info like that how to get started 😊
How do you display your items for a show?
I am not in the art business per se, but I am loving your channel. After a divorce from a narcissist, I also reinvented myself did more studying and now I have an indie beauty brand.
Congratulations on your reinvention! 🌸
Coral reef sway
Lovely! This is a great suggestion. 🌸
"Coral garden" comes to my mind... beautiful pattern! 🌺
Thank you. That’s a great name. 🌸
Beautiful Blouse, Anne!do you sew your own blouses from your designs?
Hi Lynniemarie! I have my blouses made by a fabulous seamstress. 🌸
Thank you! Love your daisy design in your Peach Fuzz!

One one is the loneliest number the whole. Years One
I tried to listen it always says start in 4:53 minutes and seconds
That’s the countdown timer. I come on screen after 5 minutes. You can skip the timer by advancing the video to the five minute mark. 👍🏻
#replay Thank you so much.
Yes Anne I’m watching the replay💕 great ideas.
Hi, Anne! Thanks for Always being there even when you aren’t feeling too top! Glad you are getting to feeling better!
For your cold... four essential oils: peppermint, lemon, orange, tangerine -- 2 drops in a tea cup of hot (not too hot) water. Love, Suellen

@@AnneLaFollette1 I found it very inspiring and went and created my own teardrop pattern afterwards:-) Looking forward to more of your lessons Anne 💮
Anne, this is wonderful. A good exercise for me to keep practicing using the pen tool.
Thank you so much for watching. 🌸
This class is extremely helpful... Great possibilities that exploded imagination! Thank you, Anne!
Thank you so much for watching. ❤️
I don’t have the time to learn Adobe Illustrator. Procreate is my choice….😢
Yep, it's nothing for me to be up till 2am every night creating, designing and learning. And I also prefer to get up early too! TFS!
Thanks for sharing. She's right about the exhilaration of seeing your designs immediately on the products in POD.
I've been at Curioos, Zazzle, DeviantArt, Spoonflower and am currently at Society6 and Redbubble. DeviantArt had too much of a teenaged/young adult vibe for my mature tastes so I left yrs ago. At Spoonflower I was frustrated because I had to order swatches of every design that I uploaded before it could be listed. I've found that this is the procedure at other POD fabric venues I've checked. My design skills were also not advanced enough for me to confidently compete there, something I understood later as my skills improved. Curioos and Zazzle made it difficult for me to leave by using tactics to hinder me. Zazzle has a huge product line and an onsite forum but I'll never go back because of my experience in leaving. I was also at Vida yrs ago when they first launched and were offering mainly scarves and shawls but I never uploaded any designs. I've since heard bad feedback about some designers' experiences at the site. I was at Society6 yrs ago. When I decided to leave it was quick and easy. When I came back last month, it was no problem. I'm currently preparing a blog post comparing Redbubble and S6. So far Redbubble is winning in features and ease of use. Wherever you want to join, do it now to get your account while it's automatic, even if you're not sure or ready to upload designs. Anyone used to be able to join Zazzle but they're now vetting members. When I was there and loving them, I sent a creative friend to join and they rejected her. Sites like Printful and Printify do not offer onsite shops for designers. You have to connect to them from your Etsy, Shopify or other shop, which unlike true POD, costs money upfront. POD does not pay very much at all. I've made very little, mostly because I don't create trending designs, which is the best way to compete and make money. POD is instant gratification for the designer. It's addicting to immediately see your designs on products. It can easily become a time-sink where you're designing and uploading every day for little if any return. Research trends, integrate them into your designs and market, market, market. Competition is astounding.
I would love to participate in the next one.
Take Action 🎬
Great design - thanks Anne!

I am a student from Anne’s Pattern Design Academy and I love these short student interviews. One, because they make me want to get to know new people and two, because there are brief and crammed with interesting information. Anne does a great job of providing “relevant, relatable content” in concise, approachable ways!!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you like them. 🌸
