Great video., your mods look professional. The casting, the windows ( door and windshield ) on Matchbox and the Hot Wheels Tacomas seem too small or out of proportion.

Same, this is why I stopped buying matchbox/hotwheels

I made the switch (still in progress) from Matchbox/HW scale and type to more Greenlight and Code 3; most of that I look for and do comes to modelling off of real locations, so the lack of customizable 1/64 apparatus doesn't bother me as much.

Unfortunately matchbox and hot wheels both size their vehicles based on it fitting into a set sized package. Also for those who are looking at railroad modeling stuff to use with diecast always remember that 1/64 scale is called "S" gauge and 1/87 is called "HO gauge.

I want to let you in on a secret……those garbage trucks with the 2 axels are Mini Garbage trucks! Look them up! When you realize that, then the fire truck to garbage truck ratio could work better.

As a 1/87 modeler, I am using some of the Matchbox cars as no one makes a Subaru Forester or a Mazda CX-5.

For making the older federal light bars here's another trick I do go to a floral shop and ask the clerk for a couple gift card holders they can be cut to size and length and decorated in whatever design you wish

Here's a suggestion for light bars purchase a package of the smallest zip ties and trim them to size and use red acrylic hobby paint or permanent markers to color your light to your specific color or desgn

Nice detailing but here's a suggestion for light bars try using white zip ties cut to size for roof light bars or go to any floral dept in your nearest grocery store and ask for the clear gift card holders and cut to size use either markers or red clear turn signal paints to detail

If you want to remove the decals you can use a mixture of 60% rubbing alcohol and 40% water . This mixture can used to remove the glue residue that’s left on the truck as always test a small area to see if it’s compatible.
