I know this is an old video but if you see this message, please get yourself a reputable mechanic shop that knows wtf they are doing. These cars are bulletproof. I'm not joking. Every Mercedes I've owned has been nothing but excellent. I have 3 of them today. My 2010 s550 4matic with 102k miles. A 2013 cl63 amg with 56k and a 2009 e550 4matic with 87k miles. Reg. Maintenance and that's it.
Seems like maybe you bought this as a flood car and didn't know it. You know all those cars from the hurricanes don't get properly tagged as salvage. So they clean them up and roll it up north. But the corrosion starts to kick in from the flood water like the shocks bearings and anything that takes lubricant to operate correct plus electronics the wires get calcified
The 2006 & 2007 W221 Mercedes Benz had these typical problems! However in 2009 when they updated & changed some of the engineering the W221 was alleviated of most of the problems you are showing. I hope someone on this channel can confirm or enlighten me….
I have the same 2007 MB s550 and went thru exactly same problems and I ve reached to my limits, the air struts out changed em , air compressor out changed , air valve block changed yesterday, windows will not work just driver side ok, transmission leak and shop worked on it yesterday and will see if it leaks again, starter was dead changed it , batteries rear and front replaced. one problem after the other and never ending .since 2019 I spent like $12.000 to fix parts so the choices are to keep and deal with it or just get rid of it.
I have an 07 S550 Sport, (107k miles) had it close to 5 years now and ive never had any hard mechanical issues except for one of the airbags going shortly after buying, only things ive done is replace batteries, parking brake motor and rear window regulators. other than those few things, car has been absolutely bulletproof and never has left me stranded. It amazes me every time i get behind the wheel.

We can’t compare Japanese car expenses with German cars . If we can’t afford the expenses for this kind of cars , so it is better to buy Toyota or Honda,.. . Having a luxury car = having a luxury bank account otherwise it is nightmare.
Not true at all you can find parts and ppl that will not bankrupt you. You just have to do the research and find what parts are interchangeable because they use parts from other auto makers and other brands just put a Mercedes badge on it and upsell it.
The 07 was the worst year for the S class, it had too many kinks, never buy the first year of a new model with these cars, it will always have major issues, or the computer will not talk to the car to keep it in tip top shape. No matter how much maintenance you give it, this was a bad year for Mercedes, they should be ashamed of themselves. 2008 and newer had less problems, and they made parts easier to be fixed. I have the 08 model and I changed a few things on my own, blower motor, fuel pump, and upper radiator hose... but that's it. My AC wasnt charging either, and that was a nightmare... $500 later, it works... go figure...
I had to change the compressor, but I had it installed by a mobile mechanic, and he was not able to reset it, so it costs me $200 to have the compressor reset after he installed it.
Wow. Is there anything that works on this car? I assume it wasn't taken care of properly. I have one 07 S550, has only 56k miles. Everything works like there is no tomorrow. Good luck 👍
to be honest i used the same car s 500 2007 for more than 5 years I haven't never faced any of the problem you said it is very relible car it's milge now about 200k mile which is about 320000km the only problem that ifaced its the car over starter i replaced in agency with 3 keys about 3000 dollar
How many oxygen sensors did you replace and how much was it???? Exactly which batteries were replaced and how much were the batteries???? How much was the tune up????
There great cars just expensive to maintain, and so very frustrating at times but it's the price we pay to drive the BEST, that's why LEXUS is economically the much better buy by far....Im really thinking about that 2014 S550 4MATIC,but keeping it REAL i just might go with the LEXUS LS 460L,we'll see....
Even i face with same kind ofissues and problem on my end was in ECU... Guys tru to repair it but after 3 months problem came back... Second pass of repairing make things worster. now my ECU block is not working at all...

Unfortunately, a 150k brand new doesn’t translate to Camry repair bill price tag
It’s ya egr
Sounds like this cars been under water
All your problems probably from your new batteries if they are not genuine
Shaking Engine could be the timing chain gear. If it is then you are looking at a $4000 repair.

You probably bought a lemon. Also the 2007 was the worst year for the S Class W221. 2010 facelift and up is SOLID with proper maintenance.

Why do you keep driving it after finding these issues? This is comically negligent.

Ok someone did bad engine work on your car, or it needs motor mounts
You might want to check if it’s your balance shaft. I heard this was common problem on their engines.
What do you think your problem is when the car starts and then doesn't stay started?
Broken or burnt sensor chip on ground under the hood I see this all the time

Hey the issue with the parking brakes is the motor or the force sensor
Or it could be the switch it all depends
Also the crank position sensor could be the issue as well
Someone in my area trying to sell an 07 stating it has only 32k miles. I'm like yeah right buddy!!
It could be true, I bought mine 5 years ago from a doctor it only had 41k miles on it

stupid those are not problems its called maintenance any car need to be maintained
Your one or two of your engine coils are bad
That is correct I had a same problem on my 98 S500 did replace two bad coils and the car went back to normal
Have you fixed it and sold it? May be its just a lemon
Whomever replaced the batteries, spark plugs didn’t do you any favors. These cars are bullet proof when maintained correctly.
Nope that’s the 70s-90s models
Really ? I want one
I bet there not original miles you bought it thinking it had only 42 k miles

piece of junk
Compare to bmw 7 these are very reliable. Struts are common
Really people say Lots of worse things about The 7 series
