A quick video to get back on RUclips for season five! I hate that I have been away for so long, but life has been happening steadily outside of my tiny toy kingdom. Over a span of about six months I had four of my pets cross the rainbow bridge, first my senior cat who had lived a full life, then a couple months later the youngest cat became sick and was diagnosed with a terminal illness. We wer...
Toy Hunt Tuesday! The Annapolis Toy Show (Spring Edition)

A quick walk through of the new Annapolis Toy Show. These smaller, more frequent, local shows give vendors and collectors a chance to come together, shop, chat, and reminisce without all the amazing chaos that surrounds a larger show. Looking forward to sharing my finds from this show in an upcoming video!

My recent trip to the @OriginalFunko flagship store in Hollywood CA. Any time I'm out in the Los Angeles Area getting to the Funko shop is always a priority. Love being able to walk through the store and seeing all the current Pops, while snagging a few "must haves" to add to my collection or the photography prop box. #funkopop #funkofamily #originalfunko #disney #marvel #starwars

Recently took a quick work trip to Daytona, which spurred an even quicker after hours run down I-10 to Orlando to pop into Disney Springs. I had read reports of some Galactic Star cruiser merch being found in the park in late December, so I was (very) optimistic that I would find something at either of the Star Wars shops In Disney Springs. It turned out exactly as anticipated, but I still foun...

Took the time this week to unbox my Haslab Cobra HISS, and what an incredible toy! The detail that has gone into the tank is second to none, and I absolutely love having the vehicle in six-inch scale. I can't wait to get the vehicle out and really start to plan photo shoots around it. #collection #hasbro #haslab #gijoe #cobra #toys #toysreview #sixinchsoldiers #toyphotography #toyphotos #hiss #

Checking in with everyone to say I'm still here, and so very appreciative that you are too! 2023 wasn't exactly what I had wanted it to be for the channel, in fact it was a major step backwards. But that's okay. We have the opportunity to reevaluate, reset, and return to making content that you enjoy. I'm really looking forward to sharing a lot more of the toy hunts, restoration projects, and s...
Toy Hunt Tuesday: A trip to the Windsor Toys R Us!!

On a recent trip to Detroit, I had the opportunity to run over the Detroit River and visit Windsor, Ontario. While there I made a deliberate trip to the Windsor Toys R Us! to see if it was as magical as I remembered. For some reason, it seemed to be everything I remembered and then some. The nostalgia of Geoffrey, the retro colors of the exterior and interior. Just seeing TRU signage again took...

Toy hunting downtown Savannah GA

On a recent trip to Savannah Georgia, I stumbled across three different pop culture stores within feet of each other. Each store had its own unique vibe and specialty, but everyone had something to offer for the pop culture collector or toy photographer. While I could have purchased several things at each place, limited space in a carry-on bag made my decisions pretty difficult. Eventually I se...

Oh wow nice pictures
Thank you so much! I'm trying to post more regularly, but life continues to happen. Photos are posted a bit more regularly on the Hangerbay 23 Instagram page.
God bless America.
I'm fortunate in where we currently live, I get to shoot fun stuff with some of the most amazing backdrops in the world. Thanks for commenting.
Really nice and thank you.
Thank you! I'm finishing up a short for their HO scale layout as well. Look for it to post later this week.
I also restored my battle damage X wing fighter the same way. The wings were also broken. But I had help from Toy Polloi how to repair the broken wings. It turned out great. The wings are back in its place. And I restored the motor with WD-40. All in all, the X wing fighter is functioning again.
I love Toy Polloi! He's a great resource for folks to go to when they want to restore almost anything.
Hi, I’m just getting into funko pop photography. I am not taking the best but I want to improve. I was wondering if you had any tips or tricks for me.
Hello! I'd love to share some of the things that work for me. I have three big things I do in my Pop! pics that work for me. First is finding a Pop! I really want to shoot. A good portion of the Pops in my photography line I have no idea who they are. I really like the colors, or stance, or saw them and immediately saw a "scene" in my mind that I wanted to create. That's why I rarely shoot Star Wars stuff, even though I love the franchise. I don't feel like I have room to create there, only re-create. Second is all about the angles. I very rarely shoot a pop from the ground. I normally will try to find a way to get them a couple of feet off the ground to get the camera lower to the pop and make the shot more head on. this allows me to incorporate more of the background and balance the photo. (Bonus here, I always turn the head a bit to give the figure a little more movement) Third tip is to use fill lighting. a little LED panel can be purchased off of Amazon for $20 and will make all the difference in accenting/highlighting the pop. Hope those help, looking forward to seeing some of your work soon!!
@@HangerBay23 Thank you so much!! I love your videos and thanks so much for responding so quickly. 😀
Neca to me is the best place to buy alien and predator figures
Neca makes some amazing figures. I love their ultimate stalker predator. On the other hand, these Lanyard figures are everything you want out of a $15-20 dollar toy. It has absolute playability and it looks good too!
I loved toys I want sky liner Avro Lancaster
You'll like the video we currently have in production. We just visited the worlds largest toy museum in Branson MO. Look for a full video and a handful of shorts coming soon!
I loved toys
That music on the first half of the video was pretty annoying. Good video otherwise!
Thanks for your feedback! Really trying to make videos that everyone will enjoy, so knowing what to adjust helps!
They are really cool! :)
They’re really cool, and it’s fun having a travel buddy/mini me of the wife & I. Looking forward to seeing what other options Funko adds for them.
that is sick
Thanks so much! Been wanting to do some DC themed shots for a while now.
merica
your flowers are so beautiful 😍
Thank you so much, but I can't claim these. This was at the US Botanic Garden right beside the US Capitol in Washington DC. I'm fortunate with my office being close enough that I can spend lunch here among the beautiful flowers.
Hoi hoi! That was a really good buy for $30! I wish i got that deal! A good picture you could do is the starting scene of Fury. you could lay them out, use a smoke machine, piros and the right figure in the back shot, would be amazing.
Thanks for the comment! I believe I have something worked out for the bulk of the bin, I just need a couple of things to line up. Will share updates as they're available.
So cool that you did this! Really dig it!
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Wow super nice coverage of the show!
Thanks! I really appreciate you checking it out! Hope to be at the Maryland Toy Show in November.
@@HangerBay23 Yeah I saw some people filming around the show so I had been looking too see the videos pop up, really like how you edited this together. And thats a pretty darn good show at least the one they had earlier this year was.
Noice
i always say , the people that set these things up are crazy! so many little pieces and things that can go wrong. good on them
This is our third trip to Hershey for the toy show, we’ve been super impressed every year. I know they had some last minute vendor swaps this year and everything still looked seamless. Looking forward to going back to the show again next year.
oh hell yeah , just found my new favorite chanel
Thanks! Super happy that you enjoy it!
Hoi hoi! Good video. I learnt a lot today. Thank you!
You're too kind! This was another disaster but it's one of those things. Life happens and I want to promote making the best of a bad situation. The hobby (and the channel by extension) is supposed to be fun, not another thing that creates stress in life. So, while not as polished or professional as some of the other channels I hope this one is at least a little bit of fun.
That's the City Hunter.
The one in the thumbnail
@@Dicem Didn't even realize I used the different predator in the thumbnail. Great catch!
@@HangerBay23 Thanks man!
Hoi hoi! I love the way you do your behind the scenes. My daughter and I talk a lot about doing something like this but I’m not confident enough to go behind the camera. Hopefully my daughter will one day though. I do take figures everywhere I go. I always have a pocket full and everywhere I go out bags get searched- it’s like that everywhere in England. I always get weird looks because my bag and pockets are always full of toys. I’ve been doing some customs as I’m going Florida at the end of the year to take some zombies on tour. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Keep them coming!
Thanks so much! I'm still not really comfortable filming in public, but I'm getting better about it. I'm not the most social person to begin with, so doing things that draw attention to me when I'm out really takes me out of my comfort zone.
This video deserves more likes! Sorry my bad english.
Thanks I really appreciate it! And your English is great!
Using cotton balls hidden behind the fire log drenched in the lighter fluid will burn longer when using practical effects. Something to try next time with fire. Very inspiring Thanks

Hoi hoi! It is not a disappointing episode. It’s good to see the chaos behind the scenes. I’m sorry to hear about you losing your footage. I have a bad habit of taking the SIM card out of my camera and putting it into the computer, and then take photos without the SIM card and don’t realise until afterwards. We went on a two week holiday where I took a suitcase full of toys, took endless pictures, filled the SIM card and then put the card in my back pocket, sat down and snapped it in two! It won’t be the last time, I know that for a fact. With my latest video, the computer crashed so I lost my gag reel! It looks great where you are. Especially the sunset where it looks like a fort
Thanks! I'm honestly not sure what happened with these, I got home late and rather than waiting until morning to start transferring data, I decided to do everything that night. I obviously messed up one of my folders as I lost a majority of the hobby stuff, but my "touristy" and work photos are all still intact. Right now I'm scheduled to head back to PR the last week in June, so hopefully I can re-create a lot of the shots I lost and think of some other stuff to shoot as well.
Cool I like the pop
Thanks! Currently working on a project for Eevee & Eeveeolutions. Hope to have that video done by the middle of July.
Cool figure
It really is. I'm optimistic we get a few more black series Ewok for the ROTJ anniversary next year.
Looks nice
For the price point this is a great line. Unfortunately, mine seem to be jinxed as every time I try to shoot or video with them things don't work out for me at all.
hi bryce potter
👍
Keep up the good work
Thanks! Just finished my semester for grad school, so hope to be shooting some new material soon.
Good job
Thank you!
Cool
Thanks!
I actually have all of those toys I have all the versions
They're still out in the "wild", I saw a couple of the versions on store shelves in Tennessee last week. Hopefully I get to shoot these guys in the video I've been wanting to do for a while now at the end of the month, but we'll see.. Fingers crossed! Do you photograph yours or are you just collecting?
I restored one of the first vintage white X-Wings a few years ago. It was so dirty, so yellowed (very yellowed). The wings were broken. The landing gear was broken. The electronics didn't work. The stickers were gone. You name it, it was a mess. Here's some photos I took of the before and after. Some of the yellowing was really bad! Here are some secure links to where I started: www.lostonwallace.com/xwing1.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing2.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing3.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing4.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing5.jpg After the first wave of fixes and cleaning: www.lostonwallace.com/xwing6.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing7.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing8.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing9.jpg www.lostonwallace.com/xwing10.jpg I managed to repair everything. These photos show only the first round of deyellowing. I wound up giving it a second go-around at deyellowing after these pix were taken. I have to say that by the second go-around, the X-Wing really turned out to look almost like new with some very minor yellowing still on the bottom. Most of the stain was gone though, so that was a win! I replaced the original broken/taped landing gear with an ebay purchase, bought a new, "old stock" original replacement canopy, and finally, I managed to fix the light and motor. I got that annoying blaster sound to come back. Lol. I bought some replacement stickers after that, and the results added up to a almost new looking X-Wing which I proudly display in my collection.
That's amazing work!! The X Wing really cleaned up nicely. Thanks for saving a vintage toy from the recycle bin and for sharing your story!
@@HangerBay23 You're welcome, and likewise to you! These toys have value to our generation, and I love that we can still have and enjoy these toys for the future! Restoring toys is a fun and worthwhile hobby.
I wonder why the wings did that. I'm restoring one that I just got for $3.00 at a thrift store. It's a 1978. Same broken wing problem. I've got it covered in 40 volume cream now and it bright white again. I'm about to fix the wing. Wish me luck.
The very best of luck!! I see a lot of the vintage X Wings on eBay with the broken wing. Not sure if they all had a rough life as a toy, or if the plastic broke from hanging or what. Either way they can lead to inexpensive projects for restoration or awesome dioramas. Keep us advised on your project, would love to see some photos when she's done! Good luck & MTFBWY!
Great i love it 👍 but you Can wash tour figures After or it's définitive ?
Thanks Olivier! This method is permanent, I use it as I travel a lot with my figures. There is a way to do the same using pastille chalks that can be washed off when your done shooting. I'll share that in an upcoming video.
@@HangerBay23 Great ! I follow you 😉
@@olivierzaouati5411 Awesome! Thank you. Look for some workshop videos in the very near future, the pastille chalks will be one of the first ones I do.
Haven't forgotten about you, @@olivierzaouati5411 I should have a video on temporary weathering coming up soon!
Filming the temporary weathering video tonight, Olivier!
Hoi hoi! Happy new year! I really appreciate all the hard work you put into your channel. I’m looking forward to seeing what your channel will bring this year. At the moment it’s just too cold to do any toy photography outside, my fingers will snap off. Also the toys don’t like being cold, they complain about it 😂.
Very true! I have several fair-weather photography toys, only a few cold weather types. Not much of a fan of shooting outside when it's cold at all!
I can't wait until the final photos for the Preds! You're very talented in what you do, keep up the awesome work!😁
Thanks! Every time I think I have something special worked out for these guys it falls apart. I've had two trips cancelled now, where they were going to be the focal point of my toy shoot. Hopefully 2022 lets me get one of my big trips in and I can share that with you all. Thanks again for the comment, it's greatly appreciated.
