Growing up as a Native Hawaiian I had very little access to my own ancestral knowledge due to colonization. What ʻike my family has resides with my grandmother on my fathers side who now has dementia. Many of the practices and teachings that will be published here is learned from family and friends. I believe education should be free and that all people who are willing to learn should have access to knowledge. Please keep in mind that there are thousands of ways to do one thing. In other words one can learn from many resources see ʻŌlelo Noʻeau (Hawaiian Proverb/Poetical Saying) below:

‘A‘ohe pau ka ‘ike i ka hālau ho‘okahi: all knowledge is not taught in the same school.
