This channel contains videos my collection of Rifles from the Nations of World, made between about 1845 and 1890. All rifles of this collection are older than 100 years.
vz 58 assault rifle 7.62×39 mm
The VZ. 58 (model 58) is a 7.62×39mm assault rifle designed and manufactured in Czechoslovakia and accepted into service in the late 1950s as the 7,62 mm samopal vzor 58 ("7.62mm automatic firearm model 1958"), replacing the vz. 52 self-loading rifle and the 7.62×25mm Tokarev Sa 24 and Sa 26 submachine guns. While externally the vz. 58 resembles the Soviet AK-47, it is a different design based on a short-stroke gas piston. It shares no parts with Kalashnikov rifles, including the magazine.

Other names: 1274 Detreh, Dethruh, 1296 Detrech, 1394 Plosenstein, 1420 Plawcz, 1437 Detrehkw, 1469 Plozsten, 1532 Plawcž; Hung. Detreko, Germ. Blasenstein, Plasenstein Ruins of the castle, which was built in 13th century, rebuilt in 15th - 16th century. It's falled into decay in 18th century.

Much better rifle than what the French Army was armed with from the Lebel and Berthier. The French Army in their infantry rifles were definitely outclassed even before the Mauser Gewher 1898 became general issue before 1914. The French Army had to devote more time training their soldiers on how to load and shoot the Lebel M1886/93, the Berthier 1890 took less time and much easier to manufacture. Why the French didn't do away with the Lebel is a mystery to me when loading a tube magazine with eight rounds versus a three round en- bloc clip which has a faster reloading time and firing rate. Yet it took the French until the end of 1915 to produce the Berthier using a better magazine and clip to fire 2 more rounds and manufacture and issue in 1916. The French before WWI fought as many colonial wars like the British yet the British were smart to come up with the SMLE with a box magazine that held 10 rounds, shorter, and made it stripper clip loaded. No wonder French ordnance and their generals were incompetent, they forgot they were about to fight against the Germans again in the future.
I am French, and I have to confess that, back in 1973, I used to converse with an old French veteran of WW1. I will never forget his simple statement that the French army was always one war late in its strategy!
@@twombonu I was reading about the Foreign Legion Paratroopers in Indochina that they liked the M1 Carbine because of it's small caliber .30 or 7.62mm round with a high capacity 15 rounds and very light for combat at closer range. Next is the M1919 Browning machine gun which was much more efficient to operate in combat than the old 1914 Hotchkiss because it was lighter and belt fed. US supplied weapons, equipment, and uniforms would influence the French Army from it's post WWII colonial wars and present. As a shooter I would love to own a MAS 36 rifle and should have bought one when it was cheap. Good bolt action rifle and efficient in design lessons learned from fighting during WWI.

Just curious as to why Winchester came up with the 38-40. It’s really a .40 cal. while the 44-40 is really a .43 cal. Not much difference.
почему почти все стрелки при перезаряжании винтовки уводят её с линии прицеливания и смотрят на затвор? Как будь-то нельзя это сделать не глядя.
Добротная винтовка. Особенно нравится заряжание пачкой. Остроумное решение удержание пачки и удаление её. Нет лишних усилий и движений.

Very nice rifle! I just bought a Gras M1866/74/80 myself. A Gendarmerie carbine. It's in great condition and has all matching numbers. A beautiful piece of history.

Весь прикол в том, что Берданка, до сих пор актуальна у сибирских охотников промысловиков. Патрон 10, 67, лосю череп проламывает с одного выстрела. У медведя тоже нет шансов против этого ствола

У моего знокомого есть точно такое бердана 1970г нарез ствол 6 или 5 лини. Затвор все работаеть но ствол наружны чуть ржавы.
