I have been competing in USPSA since 2010 and the videos shown here are snap shots in time of my shooting sports journey. I currently hold Grand Master classifications in Production and Limited division. DVC!

I pushed the speed a bit at this match to see what I could see. This was a bit too much to process and racked up a bunch of misses. We go again next weekend!

After a few hundred rounds of testing, this is what I settled on. A traditional 7# recoil and 17# mainspring performed the best. Ammo here is factory 115 gr going about 1200fps.

Our day ended abruptly when a thunder and lightening storm came rolling through. We tried to wait it out but many grew tired and the match staff called. First time for everything and this was a first for me.

Did yours come with a metal recoil spring and does it have cold hammer forged barrel?
@@derekquinones8614 Do you mean a metal guide rod for the recoil spring? Mine is plastic and I believe the barrel is hammer forged. My P-10 is one from the initial release years ago. I am not sure how they are configured now.

The Priest seems to be soft on the recoil for a non-ported gun. You receive this recently or does the one you've had for a little while before they changed owners of the company a little while back.?
@@DaveandDebe I bought this new at the end of June of this year. I have heard about the change in ownership down there but don’t know when it occurred. I can say that I am very happy with it so far.

Is this northern utah? I keep thinking about trying to get into this. I'm near ogden.
@@braddixon5825 Yes it is. This range is just outside of SLC. There are also a couple more that do USPSA matches. One up in Logan and another in Kaysville that just got shut down with hopes to continue matches. Check out SLPSA.org and LTDUtah.org to get started.
@LeoDeLeon707 great, thanks for the info. I'm actually in kaysville and I'm bummed that range was shut down. I imagine it's okay to just come and watch the event?

How do you like the olight? Shot a Tisas 2011 with one on it.. definitely not my favorite but not terrible for $200
@@Cjordanshooting so far it has been really good. I’ve got about 2k rounds on it and no problems at all. For $200 (even cheaper during this years amazon prime days) I think it should be considered.
@@LeoDeLeon707 for sure! I’ve just gotten lucky with the prices of dots I find.. I got a 507 comp for $310 and a SRO for $450 2 weeks ago on PSA! Another dot you can think about is the Cylee Bull X Pro.. that thing is HUGE

@@kevinizatt I didn’t have the dot during weak hand initially. Something I’ve been working on all week.
Does the slide to frame fit have any wiggle?
@@airmann4673 None. I was surprised when I first picked it up and now having over 1k rounds through it, it’s still just as tight. I have handled a couple of other vudoo priests locally and they do have a slight “wiggle”.
I cant find any info on Cache practical shooters anymore. Their website doesnt exist. I used to go to these but cant find anything else. Do you have any info on these matches?
@@prestonclawson5635 This CAPS match happens on the fourth Saturday of each month. Search “CAPS” under matches in Practiscore and you can sign up there. I’m not sure what happened to the old Utah Shooters website but assume they have transitioned to social media platforms for announcements. I’m not on those popular social media sites, so I’m not certain. I just make sure to look up the match in Praciscore and sign up each month. I hope this helps. Hopefully you can start making it back out. 🤙🏽

Going full send on a stage is so fun and often results in better scores ironically, provided you hit the target at all. We're capable of more than we realize sometimes. I have to say the craziest example was at a PCSL match a while back. Last shooter on the last stage of the day decided he needed to get out some match frustrations and went "Iraq Mode". Sent so much lead downrange that several RO's came running from other squads, thinking something was wrong.
