This flat top steering wheel phase everyone is in is asinine. To turn the freaking car you have to spin the wheel in a circle. A flat top makes no sense.

It was all gravy til they got to the engine. Trying to make up for their lack of progress in powertrains with “rejuvenating” interior tech. Beautiful design. Looks like something Volvo would make if they ever entered the full size SUV space. But needs more powertrain options, including hybrids.

I would love to have an EV, once they are improved. With my travels taking me from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville Florida, Johnson city Tennessee, Dallas Texas, Kansas city Missouri, Chicago Illinois, I need an EV that is not only a large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make but one that delivers atleast a 10 min charging time for a range of atleast 500 miles. This new Cadillac delivers a range of 314 miles after charging for hours. For as far as I travel, I'll keep my Jaguar XJL. 3 minutes of downtime for a range of 570 miles, paid off at 41K and a large full size luxury automobile. The Cadillac Lyric will cost you even more because, it's a Cadillac. Atleast with the Lyric, you have a dashboard with style and class and not the 2 by 4 look with a screen in the middle like Tesla provides. Come out with a Cadillac Lyric that offers 10 minutes of charging and for a range of atleast 500 miles. Till then, I'll take the gas. Money I have, time I don't. Improve the EV and I'm all in otherwise, I think I'll simply leave more than well enough alone. .....

I love this car, I really do. It's the only GM EV I can stand. But it is slow and laggy. It drives like an ICE vehicle, which is good in some ways, but it feels like a GM 8 speed transmission is attached to it. I'm not sure how they managed that. EV's have a lot of downsides like long charge times. Don't take away the good things about EV's, General Motors.

French driver, being in USA several times and being driven in navigators sometimes. I just love this car.

Drop the EV crap and put in a choice of Hemis.

That interior is horrible. Looks like you are sitting at the kitchen table. The secondary screen is so low that is going to get someone killed trying to use that thing. Also its just plain boring inside. The QX80 and Escalade have much better looking interior.

I don't know about your second charge but on the first one you had to pull an ap up on your phone. I for one do not want several aps on my phone so that I can go to chg pt. or electrify Am, or whatever. So for me = skip the whole ap thing just need the credit card. Second I want the averge range posted on the window sticker. I don't want the optimum, so if a vehicle gets 300 mi in moderate temps but only 250 in cold or hot I want to see the 250 somewhere. Finally I want a full from empty charge taking around 15 +/- minutes. I have a phev now but would need the aforementioned requirements before I go all electric. Dependable chargers would be nice too. I have often looked admiringly at the Cadillac Lyriq as they drive by and appreciate the review.

I think your review of the Lyriq was excellent! I have the 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec AWD and I absolutely love it. The driving experience is a game changer. I live in an apartment in NYC. I charge my car just around the corner at an indoor garage open 24/7 with security. I can plug my car in and go about my day. My Acura app shows me that my car is charging. I can program my car to charge to any amount and it will stop charging when it reaches that charge. I can also see how much my battery charge is on the app, which also tells me what time the car will finish charging. When my vehicle was down to 33%, I charged it to 80%, and the cost was $21. My ZDX is quiet and quick with 490 hp, and 437lbs or torque. The car has an awesome 18 speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, panoramic roof, ambient lighting, Apple Car Play, Google Maps and Waze built into the infotainment center. The car is spacious and the very responsive! I don’t think I will ever go back to a gasoline vehicle

If you want style in the high dollar car you buy like I do, Tesla is not on the same page. GM is the leader in style and better Q/C than Tesla.
