Just received the Koi 20" Dark China and 19" Crash... I also have the 14" Hihats, 17" Crash, and 21" Ride. I prefer the sound of the Koi 19 Crash over the 17 Crash... I like the Hihats and Ride... Dark China is definitely different

I went through the rhythm knowledge books several times and I can agree with everything said. I keep finding myself going back to these books very very often to the point of traveling with them.

To buy a ticket for NAMM, you must be one of the following: a manufacturer, a demonstrator, a professional musician, a content creator, or be invited by one who is at least one of these. If you’re not, don’t bother buying a ticket because they won’t let you in. I asked if anyone was allowed to go to NAMM once, and they said almost the exact same thing to me. And I feel like if I went there, they’d call the cops on me for whatever reason.

I love my 22 in Lale Kardes ride. Grest thin dark ride and it didn’t break my bank account. Turkish cymbal worth checking out!

What Chick and Co did for me is there's a difference between love of music and talent for music. I was a mediocre alto sax player but music is in my blood so I worked really hard to hone my skills. I saw RTF (Chic, Stanley, Al and Lenny) at the Beacon Theater NYC in '76. Me and my crew had the entire row, aisle to aisle. Then they came on stage and played mostly from "Romantic Warrior" The lightbulb went off. Here's these four guys, not much older than us, dressed like they were hanging out And WAS HAVING FUN! You could tell. You could tell. What did I learn? Keep your day job but DON'T STOP HAVING FUN. 😎 [Edit] IMHO "Romantic Warrior" and "Song In The Keys of Life" by Stevie Wonder are two of the greatest bodies of work in a generation... They are adults now listening to both of them And So are their kids. 😉

Very very cool,, Mikkey Dee is one of my favorite drummers. From Dokken, king Diamond, Motorhead and now The Scorpions.

For those on the fence about trying these....I ordered a 3 pack, put them on my stands, played the cymbal for a minute and went back online and ordered 2 more packs of 3. Just get 'em!!!

I once bought a lower level Tama set and in NO TIME the cover over the Bass Drum shell was rising off!!! Pass on Tama, PERIOD!!!

They need to start making deep toms again. I want 6" and 8" toms for 1988 Rockstar kit.

the swishes <3 first got the 24" 2002 : very unique, then the 22" masters : perfect ! the 2 are on my main kit (Vox Telstar) with 24" 2002 big ride and 13+17" sound egde 2002 hi hats... 602 paper thin on my TAMA superstar kit. Weird isn't it?
